What?

What was that? What ever happened to the instant replay camera? Not to be biased or anything, but I am sure that was a GOALTEND.

I hated how the referees ran off and did not even care to re-check the play. If the NBA issued the instant replay camera....Why the hell aren't they using it?

I have to say...This must stop.

Those refs should be hanged. (Or something like that.)

That was the easiest play to call the whole game. You cannot stand under teh basket and play goalie especially when the players taking teh shor shoots it from point blank like that. It's all politics they want to market the suns they are to the NBA a 1980's style fast break flash back with 3 all stars.

Although we played sloppy ball most of the time, this was another one of those down to the buzzer games where the refs should actually open their eyes.

I hope something is done. It's terrible to see a hard fought game won by a ref's misjudgement and possibly prejudiceness to the Kings.

is it not a rule that if a play is at the buzzer, they review it??

well, i may be wrong.. but i think that's what they do..

I got to watch SportsCenter or something to see what happened. I also can't wait to see what the Kings have to say about the no call.

Yeah they supposedly inforced it after the 2001 Western Conference Finals. But Whoop-De-Doo, it's not like it's been put to use with the Kings.

Bad Call!!! No doubt but what lost this game?

6 ft's missed by Webb and Bibby (2 crucial Bibby misses in the 4th)
3 missed layups by miller and Stojakovic (Miller's crucial one in the fourth)
2 Technical Fouls
Countless second chance points

I'm too disgusted to even say anything. Just like 6th, if I start to talk I think VF will ban me, and with good reason. Bleh, I'm leaving, talk to y'all later.

I think the only time they review it is when the shot goes in.

It was still a goaltend though if you seen the replay on comcast. Of course the game on NBA tv was a suns broadcast and they said it was a block.

It just sucks for the Kings.:(

No doubt, but you could put the no-call on that list too. Along with several other no-calls.

Man I totally forget about the review, that makes it even worse!
Unfortunately, I believe the review is only for whether or not the ball beat the buzzer, not to actually make any foul calls. I've always felt that the NBA should have some review process for select calls, and this is a good example. Yes, we feel horrible, but just think if that was a playoff game, or a championship.

the whole game was full of no-calls.. reason why brad and webb got the Ts..

frustrating to see a lot of contact in the paint but they don't call it against the suns.. OTOH, the kings touch a sun, they get called for it immediately!

definitely we got no respect from the friggin officials... can someone tell me the definition of goal tending? i thought THAT was the textbook definition.

ya know they didn't have the best ref'ing crew...and i actually said that too myself at the beginning of the game

it were Dick Bavetta or somebody they would of at least talked it over

if it were Joey he would have called a T on Brad even though the game was over...lol

Goaltending is defined as an illegal play in which a player deflects a ball that is on the downward path to the basket or that is already on the rim of the basket, carrying the penalty of an automatic score when committed by the defense or nullifying the field goal when committed by the offense.

WOW.. I was speechless until now.. My TiVo needs a break.. THAT WAS GOALTEND!!!

How is it that 5 players, and 17,317 fans can see the goaltend, but the guys that are TRAINED to see it just didn't want to? What a crock of **** (pardon my language)

ya know people have said that we gave up the game in other ways by not making FTs missing easy lay ups Techs etc. which is true...but bottomline is we had a chance to take the game into OT and possibly win the game and we didn't get that chance

they are suppose to review plays like that.
No, they aren't. Read back a few posts. They only review made shots at the end of each quarter to see if the shot was released before time expires. Nothing in there says they can review any other situation.

Thanks for the info and good last point.
