I was one of the guys who picked them to go 0-14 (did it out of spite!). Do I really think that? No, but I do think they will probably be like 3-11 or something horrific like that.

We can talk this to death but the bottom line is our players are terrible. Yes we have the worst owners in professional sports. Yes, we have an incompetent GM. Yes, we have a horrible coach. All those things aren't helping but I'm telling you, we wouldn't win many more games with Jerry Sloan and this roster. Do you really think Jerry Sloan is going to change DMC's immaturity? Is he going to give Reke a jumpshot? Is he going to improve JT's bad basketball IQ? Is he going to make our terrible 4-12 guys suddenly effective when they haven't done it consistently in their entire NBA careers?

The team needs to be blown up. Start by trading DMC and Reke. Hopefully you get enough in return to build a new foundation. Then slowly weed out the ineffective role players for others.

for the record, 'reke was accomplishing that just fine on his own before his injury. but you're still quite ridiculous. shaun bradley was terrible. the most talented of these kings aren't "terrible." they're young and undisciplined...

So much silly.

So much silly.

Why is it silly? How much more losing with this current group will it take for you to come to the realization it's not going to work?

What exactly would your plan be?

I like Tyreke. I think he's a good kid and a decent player but a few good games in a row doesn't mean he all of a sudden has a reliable jumpshot. I want the team blown up but it would be great if somehow they can manage to keep him but I think we'll need to trade him to rebuild the foundation. Nobody else really has any serious trade value besides him and Cousins.

I want a serious coach to do his best with our talent first. We haven't had a decent coach since Rick.

My thoughts exactly. Opportunities to get talented players are harder to come by than good coaches without us having to endure even more bad seasons to get high draft picks. We have a better chance of attracting a good coach while we have some talented players than when we don't have any, and attracting a good coach is also more probable than getting a big name FA to sign with us. Here's where Cousins' reputation may hurt us though - some coaches may not want to have to put up with him, especially if the organization continues to support Cousins over the coach.

There are reasons those players have value. Unless you think all the other GMs out there are idiots too.

Assuming we have both Evans and Cousins healthy:
We have very much winnable games vs Toronto, Orlando, Portlandx3, and the Suns.
Result: Id expect us to beat the Raptors, Suns and get at least 1-2 from Portland there bench is 100 times worse than ours. Orlando have less talent than us but move the ball extremely well which will most likely murder our defense but sitll winnable if Reke,Cuz or Thornton go off.
4 Wins from the 6 Winnable games

Middle of the Road type games: Boston (ain't the same team they were), Dallas (no Dirk and there PG situation is not the best),GSW (we played out best game against), Milwaukee (tough match up), Denver (still finding there way and can be scored on easily)
Result[/B I think Boston, Bucks and Denver will all most likely beat us due to the fact there PG's will easily break down our defense and they all got shot blockers in the paint to bother our slasher and bigs. GSW I think we match up well against (Bogut won't be 100%) and Dallas don't really have many guys to break down our D and I think our bigs are far better.
At least 1 win at most 2
We have games in which we have a 80% chance to lose we play the Clipps again who we are 0-7 in the last 7, OKC (who will stop Durrant, WB and Martin) and the NYK with a red hot Melo.
Result:I would just be happy to be competitive against these teams not expecting a win in the least and 2 of them are away from home
So zero wins from these teams

I predict roughly (not counting first Clippers game loss)
5-6 wins 8-9 losses

we have seen plenty from Jimmer to know that Kemba or Kawhi was a better pick. i knew that before the draft even happened.

as for T-Rob, i like him a lot, but im speeking on who would have helped the team more, an undersized PF, or Barnes, a talented athletic SF who can shoot 3's?

I don't like Barnes. He can't get his own shot at the 3, doesn't have great quickness, not quick on the jump. I don't see it. His athleticism is overated. I'll take Robinson's athleticism any day over Barnes. In T-Rob you have a guy that can actually beat guys off the dribble, whereas I doubt Barnes ever will be much of a driver; and T-Rob is a better rebounder.

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure Tyreke will be traded this season, but not because they want to blow the team up, but just because they are too cheap to sign him next summer. But hey, we'll get "movable pieces"!

Sorry, but I've lost all the hope I used to have about Petrie and his job, and the Maloofs are just the Maloofs. The only thing that keeps me here, watching the games and reading all the discussion on KFF is the love for the team. I admire people like Brick, always trying to find something good in this mess. At least you have hope. I don't, right now I really don't.

Mm .. we'll see about that. Right now I'll take Barnes over T-Rob.

regardless of personal opinions on which player is better, its no mystery that the team needed an athletic 3 pt shooting SF WAYYYYY more than they needed an undersized PF

By the way, Wizards just beat the Heat tonight and are now 2-13, i wont be surprised if the Kings end the month of December with the worst record in the NBA

I want a serious coach to do his best with our talent first. We haven't had a decent coach since Rick.

The problem is that we could lose the rest of our games this season and I'm not convinced Coach Smart or even Petrie would get fired. Talk about a bleak predicament.
