That's your criteria? Well, hell, by that standard, then Antawn Jamison is a "franchise changer," too.
Where did I say that was my criteria? I said Bosh is an All-Star, which he is.

At least we won't have to watch Vasquez defend anyone again in a Kings uniform, plus Knight will fit right in when it comes to hating the CLIPPERS.Well, at least Knight would only have to guard Kyrie Irving twice a year if he came here.
Brandon Knight to me could be a interesting trade option as our starting PG. he's struggled for the Bucks but is long athletic and can handle well enough to play the point, maybe the Bucks will do a trade with us involving him for Vasquez + Jimmer and maybe throw it something else for Udoh as well. The Bucks have probs decided to go full tank mode so no need to have him.
I'll tell you what: I made the statement that, six and seven games into the season, respectively, it was looking like the rare trade that hurt both teams. Well... fifteen and sixteen games in, respectively, it doesn't quite look like that, any more.At least we won't have to watch Vasquez defend anyone again in a Kings uniform...
He's not even running the team any better imo, he's a average passer and he can't break down a defense and more and more he's taking awful shots. I just don't see how he makes the team better. I admit I was for the trade since I didn't want to overpay Reke but getting a close look at Vasquez he's a product of that Monty Williams system like you guys said. I admit I was badly wrong on that one awful trade. Would have been better off trading for Robin Lopez.I'll tell you what: I made the statement that, six and seven games into the season, respectively, it was looking like the rare trade that hurt both teams. Now that he's healthy and Ryan Anderson clearing the paint for him, he's looking extra vicious for the Pelicans. Too bad he was the sacrificial lamb during our bad couple of years with our absentee ownership group.ahem
Tyreke Evans tonight:

gee, sure is too bad we don't have an extra talented weapon or two to help out Cuz with. Wonder how come we don't.

You're still operating under the huge assumption that Evans and Cousins would have coexisted on the Kings and made each other better.
Look, if it absolutely had to be either/or, then the right decision was made, without question: allowing for competent management, it is much easier to build a team around a great big than a great little.
Since such things were kept in the locker room, however, there will always be speculation about whether or not it truly had to be either/or. Guys like Brick and myself look at what could have been Shaq/Kobe 2.0, and can't help but be wistful/angry.
I, for one, am not wiping it away. Just stating that it coming down to a "This town ain't big enough for both of us" situation is, IMO, the only thing that makes the move a a good one. And we don't actually "know" if that's what happened. That's all true, but you cannot just wipe away the possibility that it was, in fact, an either/or situation just because you (and in this case, Brick) want to believe that it wasn't.

Well, I think some do know, even if they aren't saying...
Reports are that they were willing to offer Reke an $8mil/yr contract. If there was some destructive conflict there offering him an $8mil contract wouldn't have made much sense, no?
Its very convenient to just assume in a conflict when it serves as justification. Unfortunately it doesn't match the facts as known anymore than we're going to build with youth...but offer a huge contract to Igoudala makes sense.

The play wasn't made "at this point", it was made then. "Then" it was a tough decision that I would have supported. The rest, water over the dam. Fun for folks to talk about. I've moved on.Agreed. Reke seems to be an extremely mellow sort and not a chemistry wrecker. The front office was willing to keep him. Playing styles absolutely could have meshed and we aren't in a position to only have one "star-level" talent. At this point, we probably misplayed things.
For how much confidence you appear to have regarding Malone, I'm shocked you keep posting this. It appears you have confidence in Malone in regards to every decision he makes, often giving him the benefit of the doubt, yet you keep posting that Reke/Cuz could not exist. You're still operating under the huge assumption that Evans and Cousins would have coexisted on the Kings and made each other better.
Trade Vasquez for Brandon Rush, give Ray a go and also we get our defender and Utah gets a PG who will not help them win but help maybe teach Trey Burke a few things.
It's not like Tyreke is lighting the world on fire over there in New Orleans.
How exactly did Cousins' game and Tyreke's compliment each other. Many times last year it seemed like both got in each other way because both did the majority of the scoring in the paint.
So far Rush has demonstrated at all that he can come back from his injury and its not like he was that dominant before. If we turn Reke into Landry/Rush, I'll be severely disappointed.
Tyreke is playing very well right now. He was hurt at the start and with a new team. He's an impact player on any team in this league. We miss him tremendously. He could start at pg and we'd be a better team. It's not like Tyreke is lighting the world on fire over there in New Orleans.
