What is Eric Musselman gonna do differently?

Rebounding.

And we were winning.

That's where the silliness with Reef really gets me -- I argued all last year that Reef was not only a better player than Kenny, but of an entirely different class of players than Kenny. But the fact is that he did NOT consistently outperform Kenny last season, and just as importantly, the team didn't respond to him in the lineup as well as it did KT. The whole roleplayer freeing up others thing. And when you are supposed to be a player of significance, losing your minutes and spot to Kenny Thomas does not reflect well on you.

Well, the winning streak really coincided with the arrival of Ron Artest, so to give KT too much credit is a bit misleading. KT remaining in the starting lineup was as much a factor of the way Adelman coached last year as anything -- you basically had the job until you got injured. Don't forget that Kevin Martin would have kept his starting job over Bonzi if he hadn't gone done with that injury -- all in the name of that supposed win streak.

All i hope to see Musselman do differently is do something Adelman never did either take the Kings to the Finals or win the Championship.

I think Musselman likes guys who play with energy and defense. As of right now I see two guys that have been missing that for the past few years. Bibby and Miller. If he can discipline those guys I think this team will improve defensively. One way he can do that is by benching them more often for lack of energy on defense.

Muss as much as he is known for being a Defensive midned coach. He actually ran (granted he had players to do so) a pretty open offense. I expect we will still see a good paced tempo on offense. If we still have Brad I am curious as to how he will use him and if he will play inside more. I think Muss is more of a your defense creates your offense type of guy were it was opposite before.

I see Muss as VF said earlier, someone that will push and demand more. How the players respond will be the interesting part. That can go either way so at this point who knows.

I am pretty excited about this year (granted the arena thing is keeping some of that excitement in check). Last year I had a much better feel for the team and that lackluster start. This year just not as sure, could be 30 wins or it could be 50. Not to mention we still have some player movement to be had or resolved.

My answers to this creates more questions for me.
Will the players start the season on a roll because they are trying to impress their new coach? If they get off to a good start that could carry through the season.
