What is Charlie Rosen Smoking? Iverson good fit for Sac?

I just couldnt believe this crap!!

Allen Iverson: Needs to dominate the ball to be effective. Takes bad shots, gambles too much on defense, and would insist on starting.

Sacramento would be a good fit because A.I. could then give Tyreke Evans time to develop, and also put Beno Udrih at the end of the bench where he belongs. In addition, Iverson's presence would temporarily excite what's left of the Kings fan base.

Rosen has always pretty much hated the Kings. That's the only reason I can think of for him suggesting AI as a King.

Thanks, Jkbiker! I needed a good laugh this morning.

Rosen has just reinforced my belief that he knows as much about the Sacramento Kings as my cat knows about brain surgery (which is really silly to even use as a comparison, since my cat majored in rocket science).

I don't really feel the need to add anything else to the comment...

Why would anyone ever care enough about the Kings to hate them?
He hated the Vlade, Webber, Peja, Doug and Bibby team, too. He can have good comments sometimes, bu most of his writing for a long time has made it clear he has an anti-King bias.

I think you win the thread. :D

Excite the fanbase? Who knew an egotistical, selfish, team killing, hood clown who goes around the casinos making an *** out of himself (look it up if you haven't heard) would be something the fans would like. Get real, AI is the last thing the kings fans want to see in ARCO.

You know, I'm totally against AI coming to Sacramento, but the highlighted part sounds AMAZING to me. Something I'd love to see happen

Lol.

I think Iverson should and will end up back with Larry Brown on the Bobcats. Familiarity there, and that team could use some veteran leadership. And they've actually got a lineup that could suit him, with Okafor, Diaw, and Wallace, none a dominant scorer that needs the ball in his hands. The Carmelo pairing was doomed to fail, much like all of the past efforts to team Iverson with another scorer (Webber, Stackhouse, etc) and the Pistons already had Hamilton. The Bobcats seem to be a better fit. Then again, maybe Iverson is just done.

I think that is likely to happen anyway. Tyreke will most likely start at PG most (if not all) of next season, and I wouldn't be surprised if Sergio beats Beno out for the back up role.

Beno needs to get his minutes and (hopefully) produce until he gets thrown in on a trade.

Dude is a punk, but if he's a 3rd string pg he's going to be a punk we're stuck with.

My hope is that Evans makes Martin tradeable...I see Kevin as Beno's likely ticket out of town, unless it costs us KT's ender.

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Asolutely not!!!!! I cant stand his game at all!! If I get to pick between him and wang zhu zhu, I would take zhu in a heartbeat!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, I have to agree with this. If any team suits AI right now, it's Charlotte. Good eye

So we rent a selfish play who hogs the dominates the ball and takes touches and development away from our young guys. Brina a poisionous attitude to the team to infect a young, impressionable squad. And kill any remaining glimmer of hope that Beno can redeem himself and we can trade his contract. Yeah, where do I sign up

Lesson of the day: The only thing of substance that's ever come out of FoxSports was...

wait, what?

we dont need allen "The Canswer" Iverson...

they should just stop guessing whats a good fit or what the kings will do.. while petrie is incharge the kings are unpredictable..

Just what I always wanted. Watching Iverson go 1 on 5 for 82 games.
Everybody that has ever played with him found out that it was actually ok to shoot the ball once he had been traded elsewhere.
He should be donated to the American Cancer Society.

Iverson (even in his prime) would have made the Kings worse. So I don't ever want that ball hog here in Sac.

He was referring to the part that was highlighted. It said put Beno at the end of the bench.

If Iverson maintains the poor attitude of refusing to come off the bench like he did with the Pistons, it makes absolutely no sense for any team in the league to sign him, even at the bargain price of the MLE or less.

I predict he goes the way of Sprewell (i.e. fades to obscurity in forced retirement). Which is pretty sad considering what a great basketball talent AI is.
