My son brings that clip up on YouTube and plays it when I'm in the room whenever he feels the need to stick it to dad. I still get the same horrible feeling in my stomach just hearing it.

Why is it every time someone posts "No offense" at the beginning of a statement, it is invariably followed by an offensive statement?

Yeah. I know someone who does that all the time. If it's offensive, saying (or typing) 'no offense' doesn't change that. If anything, it makes you look like more of a cad because you let on that you're somewhat unaware of how offensive it actually is (that or you just don't care).

But, on the other hand, "It is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all." -- St. Augustine
To paraphrase ... It is better to have been the rabid fan of a losing team than to have never been a fan at all.
For a lot of us, the winning is the little pink candle on the icing of the cake. The cake itself is what we're most excited about.
