What exactly is Kevin's effect on the team?

Humor me, I'm not able to watch the Kings ball games live and i've been following the Kings mostly through this board, Brick's grades and fantasy basketball. Based on what I'm hearing, I want to ask two questions:

1) What effect does Kevin have on the team when he's on court?

2) If he has a negative effect, why is that so? Is it HIM, or is it the way the others react to him?

Eh.. different strokes for different folks. It's not ALL Kevin, the team wasn't playing well before him, but it's his style of play. Many people worried how a ball dominant scorer would fare with Tyreke running the show. So far, he has held the free flowing offense back a bit, and even though he gets his points, they haven't been the "easy" ones that allow the offense to move and get everybody involved. He hasn't been playing his best ball, which hasn't helped the criticism either. The team just looked better offensively without him. Defense hasn't slipped THAT much, I think our frontcourt D is the reason we are so atrocious but the fact of the matter is that there we high expectations with Kevin coming back (looking at it from a purely speculative, numbers point of view... relax people) and the team looks to have taken a step back with him. It's really made it look worse than it actually is. We're just a young, not yet a very good team. WIth or without him.
