Yeah, I do think it's classless. All he had to do was dribble for a couple of seconds.

I don't think it's classless, but I also think that just dribbling the ball waiting for the time to expire is kind of stupid. I never understood how that's supposed to mean good sportsmanship...

The outcome is clear. You beat them. A shot at that point is just rubbing your vanquished opponents face in it. Pointless and unnecessary, except as a "spitting in your face" gesture. IMHO, that's unsportsmanlike.

Definitely unsportsmanlike, but I thought that Sasha, as most typical young players do, decided to shoot after he saw the harassing defense the Spurs played on Kobe and others as they brought the ball upcourt. Maybe the spur of the moment sort of thing to put the nail in the coffin, I suppose. Definitely uncalled for though.

Much ado about nothing, IMHO. Spur fans are gonna have a lot to whine about for the next few months. IF the Spurs hadn't fouled on every Laker possession, prolonging the obvious, I might be more inclined to think Sasha shouldn't have taken the last shot. But the Spurs did not pull up and stop, and were, in fact, playing hard defense right to the end (as mentioned above) so for Sasha to take the final shot wasn't any different, again IMHO.

As a Kings fan, I'm still enjoying the ongoing battle between Spurs fans and Laker fans.

I'm inclined to agree. I thought Walton's was a little tackier but whatever, this isn't football where you run the risk of injury by not taking a knee. A lot of times the player is just hucking up a shot to kill the remainder of the clock and if it goes in it goes in.
