What do you all think about a Sac/PHX/NY deal?

NY gives:
Lee/Rose

Why for us: We get 3 young players in Diaw, Tucker, and Lee. Diaw does have a sorta ugly contract but it's not that big and he was pretty good in the playoffs. He can pass, rebound, play good perimeter D(he actually did a good job defending Tony Parker in the playoffs), score in the post a bit, drive, etc. He's a pretty good all around player. Rose is an expiring so we don't get stuck with Barbosa who we don't need and also has a 3 yr contract. Lee is athletic and can rebound. Reggie wants this team to run and gun so he'd probably fit pretty well. Lastly, we get Tucker who I really like. The guy is killing it in the Vegas summer league, he was a good college player, he was a rookie last year and I think he has a lot of potential. He has a good mid range J, he's a pretty good rebounder, he's a good defender, he's a good scorer.

Why for PHX: After the Shaq trade they might as well make the last move to keep contending. Ron is a pretty good 3 point shooter so it doesn't really hurt their offense either. They've needed a guy who can shut down Kobe, TMac, Ginobili(yea even him), etc. for a long time and Bell isn't really that guy. When they go small Ron can play PF and their spacing is better than before. They'd have a pretty good starting line up with Nash/Bell/Ron/Amare/Shaq and Hill, Lopez, Strawberry, etc. off the bench. They get rid of long term contracts in Barbosa/Diaw also.

Why for NY: There was reports after D'antoni became NY's coach that he'd like some of his former players like Diaw and Barbosa back. He gets Barbosa to go with his uptempo team. Rose doesn't play and is an expiring, they won't really have cap room soon, so it's basically a swap of Barbosa/Lee. IMO with their roster they win that deal. They don't have many guards who really fit in that offense IMO. They could use a guy with Barbosa's speed.

If PHX is getting ripped off we can throw them Douby. They'll like a tweener guard that shoots 3s.

I'm not sure NY will bite that. Barbosa is good but I think Nate Robinson is similar enough for them. Also Marbury is kind of the offensive-minded guard D'Antoni likes.

And we all know NY and Ron like each other....

I don't see Walsh taking Ron again, I don't think NY likes Ron anymore. Marbury's done in NY also basically. So that's why it makes sense IMO.

Seems to work out too well for us. It matches in terms of salary but talent wise we're getting way more than what Ron and Kenny are worth

I am a suns fan also and I wouldn't do this because it really weakens thier already terrible depth. They need to ADD peices to thier bench. Tho I love the idea of ron with Shaq and nash. I would love to see phx grab artest.

They only lose 2 rotation players. They might re-sign Skinner from what I've read and they have Robin Lopez who is going to back up both Shaq and Amare. On the wings they'll have Nash/Bell/Ron/Hill/Strawberry. Strawberry looks like he might be ready for some PT, but if you feel they don't have enough shooters(Ron is actually a better shooter than Diaw and a better spot up 3 point shooter than Barbosa) than I'll throw them Douby(who would probably thrive in that system).

You are right QB would fit them very well. A spot up guy with upside. If they had a line up of Nash Bell Artest Amare Shaq with a bench of KT LOPEZ Douby (Barnes as of today acording to rummors), they will have improved. The problem is still thier backup PG spot. They don't have any support there, but we can really help them with that lol
