What Did You Dream?

What did you dream about last night (if you remember).

I actually dreamt about the Kings beating the Spurs in 4 games. I was a little sad when I woke up. :(

I had the absolute weirdest dreams last night. First I dreamed that I was dating one of the actors from ST: TNG. Never mind whom. Then I dreamed that there was a gorilla on the rampage in the Fair Oaks area where I grew up. Just all very trippy.

Last night I dreamt... I dunno what.

I very rarely remember my dreams. The few dreams that I remember, I can still picture years later as clearly as if they were real. The vast majority of the time, however, I wake up and they're gone.

I believe i read somewhere that everyone dreams when they sleep, but not everyone remembers what they dream.I usually only remember 2 or 3 dreams a year.

Yes! Everyone dreams during REM sleep which takes up about 20% of your sleep time.

Here is some basic info on REM sleep:

Definition of REM sleep

REM sleep: REM sleep is the portion of sleep when there are rapid eye movements (REMs).
Dreams occur during REM sleep. We typically have 3 to 5 periods of REM sleep per night. They occur at intervals of 1-2 hours and are quite variable in length. An episode of REM sleep may last 5 minutes or over an hour. About 20% of sleep is REM sleep. If you sleep 7-8 hours a night, perhaps an hour and half of that time, 90 minutes, is REM sleep.
REM sleep is characterized by a number of other features including rapid, low-voltage brain waves detectable on the electroencephalographic (EEG) recording, irregular breathing and heart rate and involuntary muscle jerks. By contrast, NREM (non-REM) sleep is dreamless sleep. During NREM, the brain waves on the EEG are typically slow and of high voltage, the breathing and heart rate are slow and regular, the blood pressure is low, and the sleeper is relatively still. NREM sleep is divided into 4 stages of increasing depth of sleep leading to REM sleep. About 80% of sleep is NREM sleep. If you sleep 7-8 hours a night, all but maybe an hour and a half is spent in dreamless NREM sleep.

hoopsy- you can train yourself to remember your dreams if you really want to but then if I was dreaming about the lakers, I wouldn't want to remember that nightmare either;)
D-Mass I remember those days, it will get easier and eventually you'll get sleep:)

I always seem to have the most vivid dreams when I've already woken up in the morning and continue to lay in bed going in and out of sleep. Sometimes I can continue dreams after I've already woken up.

Yeah, for me that is such a cool feeling. Sometimes I am conscious and I can control what I do in the dream!
