Last year the Kings had a 4-6 stretch around the same time where they lost some close hard-fought games that pretty much sunk 'em then. Other teams were playing better last year. This year the field is closer. - in the Kings favor Its game-by-game....play hard, compete. - see what happens.

dont compare last year to this year. Last year the trade deadline hurt the team, this year it helped.

Pelicans are rolling, won again today. Spurs are getting spanked by the Cavs but its early. Suns are looking to defeat the Bucks. Maybe the Pelicans are our biggest threat to claim the 8th seed.

Not sure the pelicans are rolling. They are 5-5 in their last ten. Last two wins against Atl and Minn. They do have a ridiculously easy schedule though, so they definitely should be in the mix until the end.
