WE'RE STREAKING

All of that is fine. But calling people out for having a take on the team when you yourself don't, as to make those people who had a take feel stupid, is just bad Fandom to me. You don't have a take, you don't root for the team, don't make people who do feel bad for doing so. And don't call them out for it either. That's just picking a fight when you have no horse in the race

As a moderator and longtime member, Slim does have a horse in the Kingsfans.com race though and contributes a lot to this community particularly by continuing to carry the torch for women's basketball and running the Big Man thread. I don't think anyone called you out specifically here -- you could just laugh it off? I find snark amusing rather than insulting though and dabble in being a pedantic blowhard myself, I'll admit, so I s'pose that's easy for me to say. :)

That's not how that works, either. There's no quid pro quo to "take giving": I don't have to give you a take to be "called out," just because you opt to share yours. If you say something, then you should have to stand on it. And if you say something particularly blustery, everybody who was within the "sound" of your "voice" when you "said" it gets to go, "Hey, 'member when you said..."

If you want to "call out" my takes on something, come over to the wrasslin' thread and knock yourself out. Or, if you're not a fan of fake graps, I may have a take or two on swimming or track and field you can call out. If you think you can do so without being disrespectful to the sport, I might even let you call out some of my WBB takes. But as far as the Kings go, nah, I'm not going to pretend to have a take, just so you can call me out on it.

Unfortunately we also put up a stinker, and Fox and Sabonis are gonna go down on that list. It happens, it’s the NBA. But it doesn’t discount the fact that both Hali and Fox are having all-NBA seasons
It would be intriguing, just for the sake of the hypothetical, to see how far the Kings could have gotten trying to build a team around Splash Brothers v2.0. But, on the whole, this 'Fox and the Ox' version is more relevant to my interests.

I appreciate your take, and I appreciate what you say. I'm happy this forum is what it is.

I dont feel called out specifically, more collectively. After the second game against the Rockets, we all were asking for changes, and obviously so was our coach. I'm sure we can all agree on that.

What I didn't find humorous was somebody who admittedly doesn't "care" what happens with this team BUT also doesn't mind calling out the people who do.

I dont like people who play both sides of the fence, and then act as if they are so smart that they can. Big words doesn't make you smart. Intelligent posts do.

I dont make the most intelligent posts, and in fact I tend to get a little drunkenly abrasive. But one thing you can always count on is my passion for this team. And I can easily take offense when someone who doesn't share that same passion wants to act smarter and higher/holier just because they don't, and in fact, have NO dog in the race.

Your last line is what I find offensive. You prefer not to have a take, but you think it's cool to call people out for having one.

I think that's kinda weak but whatever.

I guess it begs the question. If somebody helped "moderate" a Boston Celtics forum but eventually decided he wasn't a Boston Celtics fan HOWEVER continued to moderate said Celtics forum, at what point should he no longer be allowed to "fandom" that forum and instead only be allowed to just moderate the forum?

Only stop the stupid stuff vs call you out for being a passionate fan when they no longer have an interest?

It's not that serious, I promise you it's not. And, by the way, I never even really stopped having takes about the Kings, you just feel a way about the fact that I don't go off the emotional deep end and give you stuff like "We're doomed!" or "Middle management GM!" or "Fire the coach!" or "This player sucks!", that you can throw back in my face. I didn't do that when I was a fan of the team, so I don't see what the big deal is.

But, if you really want to know, I was perfectly fine focusing my duties to KingsFans on the rest of the board, and only responding to submitted reports in Kings Rap, until Christine passed away. Someone had to take up the slack in this folder, and I'm the moderator who is most likely to have time to do it, especially during the [Game] threads. A lot of the other threads in Kings Rap move at a much slower pace, so I usually feel comfortable letting @Capt. Factorial and @Warhawk do the heavy lifting on those. But the [Game] threads in particular are too active, and the other two mods don't always have the same availability. I can't be expected to have to read all that, and not have opinions on it, that's unreasonable. I'm not going to be my normal self in every other folder, and an emotionless, opinion-less bot in this one, so this is what you get.

And whose dumb idea was it that you can't have an opinion about things unless it affects you personally, anyway?

I mean. You're kinda throwing it in other people's faces for having a take, especially as a non-involved 3rd party.

Truth be told, I'm not the dude to throw it in your face for having a take about the Kings when things are bad, unless ALL your takes are about the Kings being bad and you being smarter (KB02).

I dont really care what you do outside of my respect for you moderating this crap show that is Kings Fandom lol.

I appreciate the moderation and you. I just think if you are going to maintain an objective stance as your being here, then maintain that. Don't call people out for being passionate where you aren't. That just screams fair weather to me.

Its easy to criticize when you aren't that inolved.

Its where the saying, "If you cant say something nice dont say anyinthg." Came from.

Guys not sure where to post this question , so decided to be here ...
Is there a team that can be called as ''worst opponent to Kings'' , or lets say historical against which team we have the worst H2H ?
From the last few games there is a tendency that we are blown away from teams which aren't performing that strong (Pelicans and Rockets) while we won OKC (even without fox) Wolves and MAvericks preatty easy (dalas and okc didnt have the lead for more then 10s... )...
Also is it an issue when we play back to back games with same opponents , so far two such pairs , 4 heavy deafeat , in 3 of which display was awful as well ...
