Welcome to the team. Play hard, play your game; and the city will embrace you. Let's light some beams.
I truly think prime Fox-LaVine would’ve been a deadly combo. I wish the Bulls didn’t match lolAlso Vlade finally got his wish and got Lavine in Sacramento haha
Don't be surprised if LaVine shoots 50% from three with Sabonis in the DHO.
Sam and Bryce think we have the same ceiling with Lavine as we had with Fox. lets see what happens
Vecenie is the only national basketball pundit who actually watches games
He's seeing the vision that some of us have started to notice about Monk as a lead ball-handler. There' real offensive star potential there.
The only thing now is Monk has to dial in some of this step back and launch stuff. LaVine has those bases covered a lot more effectively.
I mean, Monk is now THE engine of this thing for 35+ MPG. It's his show. LaVine gives you some secondary playmaking, but it's nothing that he's known for. He's a finisher, shooter, scorer. His job is to be on the end of what Monk and Domas create for him and what he can go create for himself.
I just don't know how this goes with DDR again. It's a better stylistic fit because LaVine is such a dynamite shooter, but there were real problems with that CHI squad. But they also didn't have anywhere close to a Domas caliber player and Monk=Ball in terms of player talent before he got hurt.
Vecenie is realizing this now only? Monk has always had better playmaking instincts than Fox.
LaVine is a bona fide three level scorer and a legit #1 option that draws the best defender every night. He is elite in both ISO PPP and three point shooting. Don't look up Fox stats in the same category this year. We'll see, I think that engine is going to be a lot more Domas from here on. LaVine is in the 93rd percentile this season in ISO. Monk is 63rd, which is actually his highest ever? Make no mistakes, as a scorer, LaVine is ELITE. If someone is dribbling the ball and launching, LaVine is the man. Most years he's actually been better than Fox too.
This is the reason why I was initially iffy on the LaVine fit before we traded for him because I would've liked to see Monk as the #1 guy. But maybe Monk and LaVine can learn how to play off of each other. He's seeing the vision that some of us have started to notice about Monk as a lead ball-handler. There' real offensive star potential there.
