Yeah, it's always hard to tell if a team is following a trend or adapting to changes in the game. And really the difference between those two can only be told in retrospect. But I will say this there's never a bad time to push defense regardless of any adaptations to style of play. It seems in the modern NBA disrupting the three and scoring them yourself at a high percentage is pretty much necessary to be competitive.One ”trend” this reinforces is McNair and his front office team really seem to value blocks and steals from the wing position as literally all the guys they’ve added all the way down to Rose are above average in those two factors.
