Plain and simple this guy is a bigot.

He spit on Danny Ferry and called him a "bleeping cracker."

Troy Murphy has accused Bonzi of making racist statements against him and his teammates.

Called the mavs a bunch of "soft assed white boys."

Throw on top of that his comment how the blazers "don't give a f*&^ about the fans.
Am I glad this guy is here. HELL NO!!

Good job kings.

I remember a lot of people were worried about Cwebb when he was traded here. Drug problems, not listening to coaches, not reporting the first day of training camp..people were saying "we don't need this type of player". So, people can change. I don't want a player with problems, but I'm going to try and keep an open mind, because, well... I am just desperate for something to be optimistic about with this team!

Brad Miller is a troublemaker. Doug Christie is uncoachable and not a team player. Chris Webber is a thug.

And is adding a tough minded player to this team really that bad? Adleman has always worked well with "problem" players, no reason that Bonzi should be difference. And that toughness should be welcomed here anyway.

Don't forget he called MO Cheeks an Uncle Tom too..

Hell, I have called US a bunch of soft assed white boys. ;)

We'll see. Obviously this deal only works if Rick can soothe the savage beast a little. Emphasis on A LITTLE. I don't want him TOO soothed. Part of what we hope to get is somebody who's not a wimp and has a a little edge and fire to him.

By this time next year, you'll be happy he's on the team. He gets paid to play basketball, not to try and win a personality award or be a team spokesman. He'll be productive and you'll be happy about it.

If the fans booed webb you would get a scowl and some complaining in the newspaper the next day. If we boo bonzi expect to get a middle finger and a "just a bunch of racist white hicks" comment in the morning newspaper. Sorry but you cannot compare webbs problems when he came here and bonzis current rep. Bonzi is a bonified racist and I am ashamed to have him on the sacramento kings. I guess as long as he can play and produces then everything is ok. Whatever.

Exactly, that's pretty much all I ask.

He can call me a white *** hick every time I sit my butt in my seat at the games.

Miller a troublemaker? Dude, I don't know where you get your stuff man, but Brad was never a trouble maker. I'm a Pacers/Kings fan and Brad was never a trouble maker.

Hey, cool by me. You booed ME while I was busting my *** out there, I'd be the one chucking gatorade.

How 'bout maybe we just don't boo him?

I get it brick. Some people are ok with having a racist on the kings. Just as long as he is putting up numbers. I get it.

Then do not cheer for him or the team if that is you believe you have to do. I am sure people can change what is it to say Bonzi is the same person as he was. Also do you know him personaly?

good.....we needed a guy like this

hehe

Not that I condone the things that he's said but at the same time we do need a guy with some attitude on the court...obviously like Brick said its gonna have to be tamed a little but we need his attitude and toughness...and YES it IS all okay if he is producing and doing what we all want him to be doing on the floor

Good job kings.

Stop being ignorant and living in bad-scenery pasts.

Wells is a good player who is what the Kings need.

Are you forgeting the things that Jason Williams said to the fans in Oakland...they were pretty racist remarks but we all just loved Jason as long as he was entertaining on us on the floor who really cared, right? [/sarcasm]

Bottomline is the things that he said were not okay but we needed him to be our PG and run the team just like we now needed to have some stability, toughness, scoring and defending/rebounding ability at the two spot and we now have Bonzi for that...forget about the things he says off court and just focus on what he can do for us on the court

i think a change of scenery will be good for bonzi, and him actually playing with team players for a change will actually benefit him. How do you expect bonzi to act on selfish inconsistent team, he becomes the same way. The only thing bad about him is that my name is screwed now. dang.

Wow, thank you for broadening my horizons in regards to some of the types of people who make up kings fans. WOW. Condone his racist past so the kings can win some games. No wonder our society is going down the tubes.

Alright, this has gone far enough.

We'll have plenty of time to assess Bonzi's character, or lack thereof, during his time with the Kings when it really matters.
