Welcome Coach Smart!!!

I thought coach Keith did a good job in keeping the team focused on the game even while we were 20+ points down. I also liked his after the game media interview. The man has vision and a plan.

A two year deal?! Interesting... Makes you wonder if this replacement of Westpaul was planned ahead of time all along.

i think its more just to ensure the players that this is your head coach, and not an interim head coach that you know will be gone after this season and you can push around.

Congrants Keith, If we can build on our strengths being our backcourt of reke/thornton and boogie then we will go places. Thats the challenge that lies ahead. We wont lose many games if those three get 20a night and we play D like we did today.

All the best were all gunning for ya.

From a business point of view i read that his 2nd year isnt guarenteed and that the plan is to see how he goes in transforming our team. We will go after a profile coach if it fails

Sacramento Bee said the same thing this morning.

I like that Keith Smart doesn't overreact to foul trouble, in that he isn't so quick to yank a player when he picks up a foul. Often times when you take out a player (esp your star) it could completely disrupt the flow of the team's offense. While you'd rather not have your star player foul out and unavailable at the end of the game, there's no point in saving him for the end when the end turns out to be BLOWOUT because you took out that player!
