So right now we're looking at (a bit sloppy positionally for the big men):

Rondo/Collison/(Stockton)
McLemore/Belinelli/Anderson
Gay/Casspi/Butler
WCS/Acy/Dukan
Cousins/Koufos/(Moreland)

So 15 contracts counting Stockton and Moreland. I'd guess that Moreland will make the squad, but Stockton is likely destined to be released and a vet 3rd PG (like Miller) brought in.

One thing you can say - that's pretty deep. I think our depth is still least impressive at the 4/5 but we have pretty good options at the 2/3 to slot down and go small for periods.

Well...this was kinda my concern when we voided Luc's deal. I really like Acy as a person/friend of Cuz lockerroom type. But he's really not good at much of anything except the occasional big dunk. Rosterwise its a lot less solid move than signing a Mbah a Moute is if he's going to be Big #4, a roster position where you might actually call upon him to play against real NBAers form time to time.

Nonetheless, if he's somehow in a position where he never has to play real minutes at points in games we are trying to win, then I welcome Quincy back as a good lockerroom guy/bench cheerleader.

I would be surprised if Dukan is on the actual roster and even Moreland is looking a little iffy.

I was going to post the same thing, then I saw he posted better defensive numbers that Mbah a Moute last year (the more negative the better):
Code:
Acy
Defense Category	Diff%
Overall -3.3
3 Pointers -11.2
2 Pointers -0.9
Less Than 6 Ft -6
Less Than 10 Ft -6.1
Greater Than 15 Ft	-1.4

Luc
Defense Category	Diff%
Overall -3
3 Pointers -2.3
2 Pointers -3.4
Less Than 6 Ft -2.7
Less Than 10 Ft -4.8
Greater Than 15 Ft	-1.5
I didn't watch the Knicks or Sixers except when we played them, so I don't know how that's possible.

Meh. As a 12-13 man, don't really care but not sure he adds much that we don't already have. Unless undersized, under skilled hustler is that important a role to fill.

Really liked the key additions we made this year. The end of benchers don't add much but hopefully we won't need them.

I'll take it, I'd rather have Acy than a questionably healthy Luc who might break down on us. Another good locker room guy, brings a lot of energy and hustle, I'm ok with him for a 12th man.

I was looking through the FA list the other day and scratching my head where Divac is going to find a stretch 4. The only two names remotely fit that bill were Byron Mullen and yes, Quincy Acy. Mullen is terrible and Acy did make a respectable amount of threes towards the end of the season. Not saying he is the next Pat Patterson, but he was making the effort to transform himself into one.

If Acy can spread the floor at a reasonable rate, he could be a very good signing.

He actually shot worse from 3 after the all star break

I might be alone but I love this signing. Better rebounder than Luc, lower usage and he improved defensively last season. He's a nice PF who can occasionally guard big SFs. And he's been working on his shot and range.

At 24 he offers a bit more upside and doesn't have Mbah a Moute's injury history.
I agree. If he keeps working on his game, he could be a solid player by the time he's into his prime in a couple seasons. Last season, when he was on our Summer League team, he did noticeably improve his outside shot, from just the regular season prior. Hopefully that trend continues.

He's also a 'sneaky' shot blocker at times. Plays much longer than his height

He averaged around half a block a game per 36 minutes.

It's always been my biggest issue with his game. He is average or worse at everything but hustling. Awful passer. Not a very mobile defender. Undersized down low. Shooting isn't good enough to rely on.

But he plays hard which is good. We just can't deal with a major injury to our bigs since after cuz, koufos, wcs we are relying on acy/Moreland.

If he raises the effort of those around him THAT is his true value add.

Hustle is a skill.
Thing is, he's not actually a hustler. That was the unfortunate revelation with him. He's a scrapper -- on a play where he does go after the ball he'll stick his nose right in there and size issues aside really fight for the ball. but you watch him play play to play and he stands around a LOT. Not at all a high energy/motor relentless pursuit guy.

Anyway, like his attitude. But he's one of those guys who's image and flashy one off plays conceal an empty portfolio. A scrapper's Derrick Williams.

I tend to agree.

There is still room for him to improve his shooting range at such a young age.

I think as the game transforms, we're just going to see a lot of players "add a jumpshot" or 3 ball to their game to make themselves more employable, guys who wouldn't have done this even 4/5 years ago. If Acy can do this, and continue to improve defensively, he could be a great signing. Has all the intangibles.

He seems genuinely happy to be back in Sac, at least judging by his Twitter. He even signed it #sacramentoproud and #hereistayed, so at least we have replaced Luc's apparent enthusiasm to be back with Quincy's. Good character guy who really wants to be here and has a good relationship with Boogie for the 11th-12th guy, good pick-up. Adding a known quantity to the personality mix is a smart play, given the choices that were left, imo.

Acy and Reggie were both nice reserve bigs to have we traded Acy since we didnt need both players. As quincy is younger he is a good 4th or 5th big good scrapper he played pretty good for knicks. I thing he could be our next Omri comes in as 3rd string and could fight his way up to be part of bench mob running down floor with omri
