Webber struggling in Philly.

Mar 3 Webber is shooting 17-for-54 (31.5 percent), while averaging 13.7 points and 8.0 rebounds in three games since the trade from Sacramento. He is a career 22 and 11 guy and is feeling frustrated with the change, phillyBurbs.com reports.

Recommendation: "I don't think I've ever had three games this low scoring and rebounding, even in the worst games of my life after I came back from my (knee) injury," Webber said. "You can imagine how frustrated I am. That's why I'm trying to keep my words short 'cause I know myself." Webber is used to having the ball in his hands on the offensive end, but must adjust as the ball runs through Iverson. He will need to take the shot when it's there, because with Iverson taking so many shots, Webber may not get as many opportunities as he is used to.

Peja felt the same way while CWebb was here - frustrated that O runs through Cwebb all the time ... less shots for Peja

Now ... CWebb is frustrated with Iverson ... less shots, less contribution by CWebb

those kind of things never end ... these people are competitive ... maybe too much

they should all think whats best for the team ... Peja, Cwebb, Iverson ... then we would see more balanced contribution ... doesnt have to be ONE guy only ...

the problem is EVERYONE wants to be THE MAN ...
 
Of course Webb is frustrated, he just got traded! That's a big thing, especially when your coming from Sacramento. Nobody ever wants to leave Sac. He's only played 3 games with the Sixers..you can't expect too much from him right yet. The Sixers and the Kings are two very different ball clubs, things aren't going to be smooth from the start..just give it some time and Webb will be fine. He's still anxious/nervous. He'll fit in..just watch
 
Perhaps the more significant comment to all of the came from Kenny Thomas when asked if he was happy to be coming to Sacramento, "Sheeesh, are you kidding me?" He went on to explain that in Philly his shots were limited by Iverson's domination of the ball but now he would be in an offense that would allow him to contribute more (sic)...words to that effect. Now Webber finds himself in KT's shoes....this will be really interesting in Philly.
 
Webber was traded from the least selfish team in the NBA to arguably the most selfish team (sic, Iverson) in the NBA.

Have all the players the Kings have traded, with the possible exception of Hedo, done poorly after leaving Sacramento?

I'm surprised that any managers still talk to Geoff Petrie.

Wallace is doing pretty well too. Williamson also did OK.
 
CWebb had a better game against the Cavs tonight, going for 24 and 12, I think (although it took him 28 shots to get his 24 points). At this point, though, the Sixers will take CWebb shooting at any clip over 40% compared to his first three games.

hopefully he is on the road to a successful career with the 76ers. I was glad to hear he played better, and I hope he will continue to improve as he gets more accustomed to the system there.

Bulldooty.

Peja and Webber played well for years. The offense ALWAYS ran through our big men.

WHEN is it going to quit being about Peja v. Webber. This thread was about how Webber is doing in Philly. Was there really any need to bring up ANOTHER excuse for Peja?

I agree. The 76ers have a lot of potential if they can learn to utilize Webber AND Iverson to optimum effect.
