Bobcats Waive Guard Eddie House

House
The Bobcats have waived guard Eddie House, it was announced by Bobcats General Manager and Head Coach Bernie Bickerstaff.

House was acquired by the Bobcats in a trade with the Los Angeles Clippers on July 14 and is in his fifth NBA season. The 6-1, 175-pound guard averaged 11.1 points, 1.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.85 steals this season for the Bobcats and 7.1 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 242 career games. “Eddie handled himself as a professional since he joined our organization and we know we will see him on an NBA roster very soon,” Bickerstaff said. “We had a situation here with a lot of players at one position and this was a difficult decision.”

The last thing we need is another guard. Doug Christie can also play point quite well...as he's been doing recently for short periods of time.

Besides, our big guys can always take the point!

Our PGs are CW ad DC. Those other 2 players are certainly great players and I a glad to have them both in Kigns uniform but they are not point gards. They are "shot first" think second players. It might have something to do with our sysetem but still.

I don't think we need another guard, and we especially don't need one like Eddie House who would wither and die without stepping on the court...

I hope House does not mind the cold... given recnet developments up in the 51st state he could be getting a call from Toronto.

Actually, I think we could definitely use an emergency PG in case of injury, and to help prevent injury by playing in garbage time. But doubt we'll pick anybody up.

Mike Bibby is not a shoot first player. He is a true point guard. It has more to do with Sac's system because when he was on Vancouver he averaged more than 8 per game. With passing big men plus the fact that Mike can shoot the ball well he doesn't average a lot of assists. I don't know which Mike Bibby you watch but throughout his whole career he has always looked to pass the ball especially his first year with the Kings. I guess he doesn't pass the ball to Peja enough for your satisfaction but still. IMO, I don't agree with you. Bobby on the other may look to shoot because I don't believe he is a true point guard. There aren't many in the league. Many point guards are actually 2 guards but are small so they play the point like Andre Miller, Dawayne Wade, and even Baron Davis. Allen Iverson played the point while in college but for a majority of his career he played SG because the Sixers had a point guard in Snow.

We'd probably pick someone up if one of our three ballhandling guys got hurt, but doubt we will until then (hopefully won't happen of course).

It was pretty sad watching the scrubs try to bring the ball up though in the waning moments of the 4th. :)
