and the Kings need to know.

Just screened the 30/30 down here in LA for my sis. She'd never seen it, not really a sports fan. She cried. Here's to everyone seeing it.

It's so ironic that at a time when those two Kings movies could really come in handy for the fans, neither are available.

Carmichael Dave ‏@CarmichaelDave 2h2 hours ago
Show it/them at Kings training camp next year. Have a private team dinner. Do a screening. Maybe I'm naive but I think it would resonate.

We get so caught up in wins and losses and drama (as we should) that it's easy to forget where things were 3 years ago. We fought so hard.

@CarmichaelDave we can't keep going to that to mask the mess with this team. We fought so we could talk wins and losses and nothing more

That's exactly what I'm talking about. It NEVER gets brought up anymore, like it's an excuse. It's ok. It HAPPENED.

Carmichael Dave ‏@CarmichaelDave 2h2 hours ago
So no matter what the team does on the floor, these fans and these owners did an amazing, unprecedented thing. It still matters to me.

What's also ironic is there was never a team screening of either Kings doc. You want to fire those guys up? Show them what they mean to us.

Big reason GK has to go: His ego has superseded the story of the Kings. SAC just ponied up 300M after being Maloofed

I copied all of that because it resonated with me. I'd sure like to believe that the players on the team we love truly realize how hard we fought and how much the Sacramento Kings mean to so many of us. IT DOES MATTER. And WE MATTER.

Oh saving the Kings matters! This group of Owners and Fans do matter. What happened in Sacto is unprecedented. The Sonics are in OKC, Grizzlies are in Memphis and the Royals are in Sacto! I can't recall a City and group of Fans who pulled off such a major win to save their team ever. Be proud Sacramento:)

People want to talk about Wins and Losses.................the one guy who really cares about wins and losses. The guy who is so emotionally invested in the Kings winning and losing that he loses control when the Refs put the shaft to the Kings players during the Cavs game. And make no mistake that game was poorly called. Identical back to back fouls on Collison and then Irving, Irving is shooting free Throws and Collison is ignored. Happens all the time......remember Dirk Knocking Collison to the floor in crunch time? Cousins is fouled every trip into the paint and a lot get called, but many do not. LBJ or Harden just fly into the paint grunting and lofting the ball at the back board and get a whistle. The NBA Super Star rule really, really, really sucks. You have to beat a team like that Cavs team by 20 to win by 4.

So who is the primary in game advocate to see that the Kings players get a fair shake with the Refs?

The Head Coach that is who. In my opinion George Karl is too weak to to properly defend his team. He has no voice or very much energy. He should never have come to the Kings getting everyone's hopes up to reach the Playoffs. This is not the same George Karl from even a couple of seasons ago. I'm not even going to get into his running scheme and ludicrous defensive sets. It is just really sad to see a once great coach hobble around. He should have stepped down admitting his mistake months ago.

So who ends up advocating for the Kings Players? Why the Kings Players of course! And when the Kings 26 year old phenom reaches his level of frustration with George Karl and takes it out on him we are supposed to be surprised? Hell most of us would do the same freaking thing if we were in Boogies shoes. Hell in the old Warriors a player choked a Coach and his team mates had to pull him off. The only problem I have with it is that Boogie did it in front of the paying customers. That is Boogies primary flaw. He cares so much about winning that he loses his cool. I want this guy on our team 10 out of 10 times all day every day.

So yes the quotes VF21 posted above from CD and AB are reminders of what matters. The Kings are here because of the Fans, the City and a group of Owners who stood up to the status quo when it was first and goal on the ten for Seattle to rob us of our Kings..........It matters.

Bruski makes an excellent point. I know I'll never forget how close we came to losing our team and that's part of what makes this so frustrating. I could live with a bunch of guys that were marginally talented playing their best for a coach that was as good as we could get. But I feel like I'm watching a world-class talent being wasted buy a coach who just doesn't get it and doesn't care. For me it's the waste not the end product that is frustrating and heartbreaking.

It is great to be reminded, thanks Dave and VF21. So many here including the fans did so much so well to keep the Kings in Sacramento. As a result we have a lot of fans and media and people and players in the organization that feeling it with a team that has far from lived up to expectations. I'm sure that Cuz and Karl and Vlade and Ranadive and the media are not trying to screw this up. I'm sure not.

Despite all the dysfunction, turmoil and ineptitude this franchise has gone through, I am just glad I don't have to switch teams and can have the Kings to root for the foreseeable future even if all we see is losing season after losing season. I still have tolerance for this team, must be the youth.
