I've been telling people about this for years, and telling people that something more would come out of the Donaghy investigation relating particularly to Kings/Lakers series. Yet few believed. Now that it is out, I think we need to set up what we Sacramento fans truly deserve... a parade downtown to celebrate the real 2002 NBA champs - The Sacramento Kings. On a weekend... just have a few city blocks blocked off, and have a massive celebration. I just hope some hard evidence comes out so that we can then invite the 2002 Kings players back to Sac for the parade (they deserve this) and not have them worry about pissing off the league. We need this parade!

I'm already working on a kings 2002 World Champions T-Shirt.

Should be nice.

Anyone know of any links where i can get the design for the 2002 championship t shirts? Or any year for that matter. Send me a link and i'll make you one as well. Thanks.

You might want to change the word "World" to "National". The "N" in "NBA" stands for "National". No team that wins the NBA are world champions. Don't know why the Americans insist on saying it.
This has always bothered me. There is a world championship tournament, and the Spurs did not win the last one. They are the defending NBA champions, not the world champions. The Celtic/Lakers will not be world champions, either.

As long as the best players in the world continue to decide to play in the NBA vs other leagues I think the NBA Champ will continue to be the best team out there -- at least as close as you can get without having another tournament that at this point there wouldn't be a whole lot of interest in.

And no, let's not have a parade; just a bit tacky and kind of pathetic. :)
