What exactly happened with these 2? All I heard was that there probably will be fines and maybe suspension. Did someone throw a punch?:(
Fines maybe, but suspension....no way.

There were no punches thrown, just some chest to chest "I'm not going to take that."

Everyone knows that Jermaine has a bum shoulder and, of course, the Celtics aimed at bumping that shoulder as much as possible. Well, Walker fouled Jermaine and came up under and then threw a littleextra shove...as play ended. Jermaine took offense (as he should have). Walker got a foul called on him and it was not even a shooting foul. Double T's were called, not even sure on who, but I know Jermaine was not the Pacer called for one. No ejections! Nothing! Just possession of the ball oob for the Pacers.

Edit: I take it all back. I saw an earlier altercation. Now I see there was another one. Never mind what I said. :D

Actually Jermaine ended pushing Walker hard in the chest at the end of this "altercation" and right then, Walker was walked off the court. That is all I saw. But Jermaine pushed him hard at the end.

thats wack! he didnt really push him he just moved him aside with his right hand to go after Oneal..... but it takes 2 people to fight so i think if they gonna supsend Walker for one game than they have to do the same to Oneal.....

Remember Peeler/Garnett?

Sound almost like the same way Pedja got suspended??

Well, Stern is going to get his precious ratings (Pacers-Pistons) by hook or by crook. And we can't send Reggie off in the first round now, can we? That just would not do.

For context, last season Peja got suspended 1 game for demonstrating on a ref the forearm shoves his defender was getting away with. Trying to toss a ref aside to continue a confrontation definitely deserves a suspension. It's not even a question. You can't put your hands on the officials.

Walker definitely grabbed the ref and moved him back to get the ref out from between he and O'Neal, and that's a definite no-no. If Peja can get suspended for putting his hand on an official's arm to try to slow him down, Walker definitely has to get suspended for a game. Stupid move by Walker in this context, as he should've known that game 3 was lost, and there was no reason to continue on with the rant at that point. His absence could definitely hurt the Celtics, although Al Jefferson has been doing quite well (at least according to the Sports Guy) in the time he has been on the floor since Indiana has been running James Jones at the PF spot with O'Neal at the C. Celtics may in fact benefit from some increased time for Jefferson.

What the hell does Stern have to do with Walker's idiocy? Walker is the nut that lost it and pushed at a ref. He deserves that suspension. O'neal got a fine. Walker could have gotten a fine. He's the one that went balistic. And this is somehow a Stern conspiracy to help Reggie?

Yes, the reffing was horrible and an altercation was inevitable. For further read the Sports Guy referenced above on Page 2 at espn.com. If you think Stern doesn't want Pacers-Pistons you're nuts.
