VF21 deleted this post of mine because I "was being too hard on Casspi" and I shouldn't say "fanboys." This site is a complete joke. I thought it was a pretty engaging debate about what was going on with Casspi. I never used foul language or got nasty with anyone. I was simply making my case. You know, if VF21 would have just given me a warning about the "fanboys" I would have let it go. But to delete my entire post because VF21 thinks I'm being too tough on a player is just flat out wrong.

I'm done with this forum. What kind of forum is it when they delete what you say because you're being too hard on a player? What a joke. This is not free speech, it's worse than living in North Korea. Have fun dealing with these mods. This place is creepy. I will let you guys stick around and talk about how great the Kings are and how Casspi will end up as the next Shawn Marion or Spencer will be the next Bill Laimbeer. Just be sure to not get too tough on any of them, you might end up getting an "infraction" or have your post deleted. LOL.

All you Casspi fanboys have completely missed my point. I'm not dogging the guy for hitting a wall and being physically tired. That is unavoidable for a lot of rookies. The problem that I have with him are the mental mistakes and for putting himself before the team. Like another poster said, if he had 0 pts, 0 rebs, and 0 asts but he was hustling, scrapping, and playing defense that would be acceptable. But to chuck up 7 shots (like last night) simply to appease his fan following is completely unacceptable. Most of those shots had no chance to go in and they came at a horrible time as the offense was desperately trying to get into some sort of a rhythm.

Simply put, he's not doing the right thing right now. He's trying to find his game at the expense of the team. He's not taking shots that are within the flow of the offense. He's making the decision to play his own way and force the issue. If you want to defend that then so be it. I won't.

I've voiced my opinion to mods in private about this forum. I do agree, that the censoring is a bit over the top. I have to admit, I don't know the context of this post in relation to the thread it was in, but to have that post censored is hitting a new bar.

LWP, what you also have to realize is whether we like it or not, and I sure don't, this is a private forum and is subject only to rules that the moderators, and owner of the site want to create; and the interpretation of those rules by the moderators. This site does not have to abide by the constitution. However, to keep the credibility of the site, ideas that are not personally attacking any member of the site needs to be left alone. The post above was a simple opinion of one person about a player. There is nothing wrong with that.

VF21 I am not going to site here and bash you. If the scenario quoted above is what really happened I believe it would serve you well to explain your stance. I realize you don't "owe" anyone anything, but I can't find the sense in censoring that post, if it was in fact deleted by you.

Gee. So long. I truly hope you can avoid the pitfalls of many an "I'm leaving" poster before you and successfully stay away. I'm sure you will find many better message boards in North Korea where there will be less government interference in your posting.

I do admit, the moderators "moderate" a little random sometimes (they say something but then another person says it similar and they delete it)...

BUT

I would WAY rather have that then what it was like in 2002-2005 at sackings.com. I would have less smack talked and more intelligent conversation.

We should have a venting room that is only open to paid members where you can say whatever! (I wouldn't use it, but some might).

I appreciate your response. It's in the "Worried about Casspi" thread in this forum. I thought we had a pretty spirited debate going on. Sure, I was being hard on Casspi but I spent a lot of time writing my posts to try and get my point across. I was very passionate and opinionated but I was never vulgar.

In response to the OP, it wasn't criticism of Casspi that got you the infraction, it was throwing out "fanboy" comments at Casspi fans who are just as hard on him as the others here can be. No call for that. VF21 sent you a PM explaining her actions, maybe you haven't read it. She did not say anything at all about criticism of Casspi.

Is that hard to understand? Have you read the posting rules? Discuss topics, not the posters.

Some of the moderation here is done with an eye towards past problems we have had on this board; may seem a bit random to you but we have our reasons.

We try to keep this board on a pretty even keel and not let it degrade into the mess that is seen at many other boards. Some people may like the unmoderated drivel that goes on at some of them. If so, this board is not for you.

I am locking this thread. Instead of posting a thread discussing moderation, how about *gasp* actually sending a PM to us to discuss your concern with the moderators? You know, get the straight scoop from us (even though VF21 already let you know the reason).

It isn't personal, we don't have it out for individual folks (unless they are essentially trolling), and we want to keep dialogue flowing. Just don't be a jerk in your posts (not you in particular, in general). That is the golden rule we try to follow. Easy. Simple. Calling folks fanboys, especially those following a player from their home country or religion, is not appropriate.
