Two things. Not looking to attack you.
Oh please...

Second, if you can enable the option that folks can ignore folks even if they are a staff member. I would appreciate it. I'm not saying that to be mean or kick dirt. I'd sincerly like that option.
Not my choice to make. Guess you're gonna have to keep skipping over my posts. "Not saying that to be mean or kick dirt" ... yeah, whatever. Your dislike of me is no surprise so why hide behind an insincere statement like that?

There are other people on this board who don't like me and I can live with that because they're at least honest about it. We're both adults and should be able to coexist.

This franchise keeps pushing me closer and closer to the Pelicans.

----

Nvm. Good form keeping him around. Don't jump to conclusions too quickly kids.

To be honest, I've never been much of a Moak-as-PA-announcer guy. I'm okay with a change, particularly if he's not just being let go (despite his years of service). And if he is being let go, I'll assume there is a deeper reason.

Im surprised there hasnt been a post cautioning fans to not rush to judgment and crucify the management. We have no idea about the reasons here. Migjt make complete business sense or there is aome way to increase the entertainment aspect and Scott didn't fit well or something. Lets not jump to conclusions.

Edited: to remove a leading negative narrative

Im surprised there hasnt been a post cautioning fans to not rush to judgment here. We have NO idea what is happening behind the scenes. NO IDEA. There could be some circumstances that the Kings cant comment on that are behind this move. I dont want to make a list of the "unknown," but one can easily see a number of things that could be behind this that the management is chosing to stay silent about for Scotts benifit to not embarsse him publicaly or avoid a legal situation.
stop it. This is asinine to even speculate.

This is all MK and who knows what reasons she has. I'd elaborate more, but not sure I want to on a public forum.

Since you appear to be an insider then maybe you dont have to "speculate" on the reasons. BUT for those of us on the outside, my exact words in capital letters are "we have no idea" what is behind this....gosh didnt know it was "asinine" to think maybe there was a reason for the move.

Instead, its fine to just "assume" and "speculate" that this MK person is a cold hearted ***** that is firing him to be cruel. No doubke standard there?

Insider, I am not. (not sure why I typed that like I'm Yoda? I'm going to leave it that way) I've been around long enough and know enough people on the peripherals to know how much her influence is on that side of the business. Mrs. Grangers tweet, that has now since been deleted, is very telling.

I have no idea the reasoning, but decisions like firing a VP go directly through this woman.

Your speculation appeared to be nefarious and extremely unfair to a guy who by all accounts has been a great employee and a great person. Since there has been ZERO insinuation about anything that could be considered unseemly AND the fact they offered for him to stay on as PA announcer makes your insinuation even that more inflammatory.

BTW, offering him to stay on as a part time announcer is extremely insulting. Selfishly I hope he does, but he deserves better than that. I don't se that happening.

All i know is the Kings PA announcer was let go. Then all i read a bunch of posts "insinuating" attacks on this MK's character. I said WE KNOW NOTHING. My post saying we dont know JACK is a reaction to those post that just "insinuate" about the managment of team, who are also people just like the PA announcer. Your crying foul over me "insinuating" there could be another side to this we know nothjng about so lets not put a noose around the neck of this MK or whoever else just yet. Attacks on the management are just as out of bounda as any attack on the PA announcer. Its the same thing.

What in the hell are you talking about? He was let go, by MK. This is not up for debate. The reasons may be.

What you are trying to do is create a narrative that Scott might be a bad dude, that did some bad things. It's disgusting.

Also reading back through my posts, you put a lot of words in my mouth, things I did not say.

Ive never said Scott IS anything??? Quote me where i said he is a bad dude?

You just said the reason for him being let go is up for debate?

What is so angering to say that this MK might have had a reason for the move that we dont know about? Why are post before mine that broadly paint MK or kings management (these are people too) as incompetent just fine? But i say, maybe we should pump the breaks because we kkw NOTHING, could be a good reason for the move, and your ticked off at my insinuation.

My whole point is its not fair to crucify anyone when we dont know jack.

I dont want to make a list of the "unknown," but one can easily see a number of things that could be behind this that the management is chosing to stay silent about for Scotts benifit to not embarsse him publicaly or avoid a legal situation.

So what exactly did you mean by this? This isn't insinuating something bad?

You are correct, I did say that the reason he was fired is up for debate, because we have no idea why he was fired. That does not mean we should speculate on terrible things that would be embarrassing to him. You just from 1 - 100 in zero flat. Unfortunately in this digital world now, someone could read what you wrote and then spin off somewhere and then twitter is blowing up over something that never occurred.

I see your perspective on this and your probably right. Not my intention to insinuate that scott did sometuing bad. The point, poorly executed, is lets not just destroy MK or the Kings management when we dont know why they let Scott go. Edited original post to remove the part thatbwould lead to the negative narrative

Wow. Look at that. Sure wish somebody had advised us to wait for the facts to come out before we all jumped off the bridge. Yeah, there's still undoubtedly a lot of palace intrigue going on behind the scenes, but not all rumors are completely true either.

Bottom line is I really look forward to hearing Scott in person on opening night 2018 at G1C!

This whole thing was so blasted out of proportion. It seems that the Kings had no intention to ever let him go as PA.

Now as for the other position.

Here’s the thing.

I don’t know what his education/experience/background is regarding that role before having it with the Kings. Other than being a nice dude and a public figure.

It’s possible the Kings just wanted a full time specialist to fill the role and maybe someone that had the expertise to build or expand it for the better.

No one questioned if he cared or even if he did a great job till now. But again just maybe, He wasn’t a specialist or who they needed to expand that position.

So many hot takes on this whole thing and so many were WAAAAY out of bounds towards the kings FO.

The kings have been in my opinion actually on fire this year, doing and saying all the right things. Especially allowing Temple, VC and other players to speak out and backing them up to better the community. People need to give the kings And Vivek some credit. This increased level of community involvement is probably the reason that they are seeking someone else for that role.

It’s seems Scott (Like all of us would be) was taken aback by having some of his duties relieved. He probably had to take some sort of a pay cut as well, seeing how he wasn’t going to be doing as much. In the end it appears that it all worked out, he understands, and its gonna be ok.

I must have missed something. Did he actually say something on social media? The quotes posted here was from others. The first things I saw from him was that he was staying. In terms of pay or other benefits I wouldn't presume anything.

“Moak had been transitioned away from his previous role as Vice President of Community Impact and Executive Director of the Sacramento Kings Foundation.”

It’s beyond safe to presume that there’s been a pay cut my friend.

Terrible PR job. If the head of PR was NOT one of those fired they need to be! Lets faceit to almost any fan Moaks other jjob duties were andremain irrelevant so why make THAT release. For his sake I hope things go well for him.

Correct. He did not say anything on social media prior to his announcement that he was continuing as the PA announcer.
