Update on Brad :(

You guys must've never seen Potapenko in Seattle or Boston. He's not terrible, he was actually a great backup center for the Celtics when they went to the ECF in '02. He can score well around the basket and he's not a shotblocker but is strong as hell and can body up on any big man in the league pretty well. He did a good job on Duncan during the playoffs a few years back.

Nobody of note on the FA market, so might as well think about somebody who already knows the system/team for a 10 day or two.

You mean names like Eric Chenowith, Cezary Trybanski, Ha Sueng Jin, John Edwards, and Oliver Miller do not impress you?

I see why you aren't a GM Brick!

 :D

we are doomed...We need a big man/men ASAP. 4 weeks without Brad or a decent big man= many disappointments and blowouts

Might also be a time to consider calling Justin back up out of the NBDL. Nobody of note on the FA market, so might as well think about somebody who already knows the system/team for a 10 day or two.

Sure, why not? He got cut for not knowing the playbook, but nobody else on the team seems to know it either, so what would be the harm?

Woods may not be the best player in the world... But he does have some size...Which at this point, our biggest man is... Kenny Thomas? I would think Vitalu should get some burn here...

The thing about Pot, he isn't a "theory" he's a player we actually have on the roster who spent his entire NBA career playing the center position. He may be out of shape, but he's not in our long term plans so if he winds up getting hurt I'm not going to stress about it. He's either being moved at the deadline or an expiring contract, we can build some value by playing him... so what's it hurt to try???

I think we should sign Williams or someone to a 10-day as well but lets do something with the guy we already have and see what happens.

I think one of the main reasons Vitaly isn't playing is because they know that he is only valued as an expiring. I am thinking the reason he doesn't play is strictly so he won't get hurt.

Anyone else notice that Joel Przybilla is getting very little minutes in Portland? In fact, he didn't even play today.

When does the trade restriction end with him? He would be a great get if we could orchestrate a trade with Portland.

I think he has a hernia or something like that. I saw something about a lower abdominal injury. Although it is true he hasn't really gotten any more minutes since signing his long term deal.
