That's a solid list. Obi topping tho..?
I think this is similar to the Kevin Love selection for the Team USA roster. The list of qualifying big men who aren't on another country's national team roster already is extremely thin right now.
Good for him but hopefully this doesn't interfere with him getting his body beyond teenage level. He needs to be living in the weight room right now.
Skimmed over this list earlier so I didn't notice it but what the hell is 30-year-old perpetual G-Leaguer/current Euroleague player John Jenkins doing on this roster?

I think we both know that Boogie will never play for Team USA, for political reasons. Team USA leadership seems to lean heavily in the direction of "good team guys" or at least players who have that perception attached to them. Also, I don't know what happened with Fox leaving the team in 2019 but his omission from the list of 57 finalists this year was glaring and seems to indicate he may just be out for good at this point.

I’m confused. Boogie’s a gold medal winner for Team USA in 2016. It’s less political/bad guy reasons and more “Injuries have made me a shell of my former self” reasons, right?

Are we talking Boogie Cousins? Cousins played for Team USA in Rio Olympics. My son played on the Water Polo team and took a picture with him on the basketball teams ship.

Alex Obert

What's so cool about it, maybe I'll go one day
For those who are interested I will post a summary of water polo in water ever spots the mods allow. It’s very similar to basketball
are Croatia or Serbia the favorites to win it this year?

The General forum is probably right. You should post game threads for your son's games!
yeah okay I will.
For basketball fans watching water polo will give some insight into Jokic’s game. Water Polo is big in Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro . All three teams are medal contenders. Jokic has definitely translated some of the skills and physicality of Water Polo onto the basketball court.
Interesting, I never imagined those countries being good Water Polo countries, granted I have no idea what makes a good Water Polo country since I've never even played it. What makes their teams good? I don't know much about Water Polo.

this may be pure speculation on my part but I think one factor to consider here is that those Baltic countries have close access to the sea and they are constantly swimming in them for long period of times and a lot of them genetically are gifted with height which is ideal in a sport like this
