Some interesting things there - one is the Bellevue arena location which flies in the face of conventional wisdom that putting the arena in the city center is key these days. Seattle already has a great downtown so I guess that would factor into things, though it would be great if they could somehow fit an arena next two Safeco and Qwest as public transport in and out of those venues is excellent and having a sports hub is a great way to keep sports related venues hopping year round.
I'm very curious about their belief that the coming CBA will "fix" things for the smaller markets. Would that buy Sacramento an extra year? Because certainly a protracted labor stoppage would seem to pretty much be the final straw and kill any remaining momentum and goodwill, but if it got done quickly it might buy time to get one of the 3 new proposals through.
Also interesting that Seattleites don't want to regionalize the Blazers, as a proud Portlander even though I am not a Blazers fan I must say a big AMEN to that!
