TV - What's your passion (NON-sports)?

So, rather shockingly, the Matlock pilot might be the best pilot episode of television I’ve seen since Lost. Absolutely shocked because (a) it’s Matlock and (b) the advertising for this show keeps all the cards it has close to its chest.

An absolute clinic in how to establish a show’s premise, characters, and get the audience to stay tuned for a full season of broadcast television in just an hour. Also Kathy Bates is possibly America’s most under appreciated actress.
I've been so disappointed with the Matlock reboot. The pilot was so promising, but this show has become progressively less interesting with each passing episode.

Happy to have Daredevil back. Maybe if it goes well, they’ll resurrect all the Netflix Marvel series. Even Iron Fist started to get it together.

I'm with you on all of them but Iron Fist. That one just never grabbed me.

I thought they were doing good stuff with Daredevil, but I wish they would get into the action a bit more. You could have cut a good two episodes out of that season and not missed much....

Yes. Didn’t play the video game but apparently those who did were prepared for this episode.
As someone familiar with the narrative, I 100% didn’t think HBO had the fortitude to stick with it. So, prepared for the possibility, but still shocked.

I know that all these game shows are recorded months in advance, but how many episodes of Celebrity Wheel do they have banked? I thought Sajak retired?

Just finished up Wheel of Time season 3, and the show gets better each season. The actors are settling into their roles better, the action is better, and the storyline is moving right along. I'm not going to pretend that the series is following the books 100%, or that after reading 4+ million words that I can even remember which book has what major story arcs. But it's good.

I discovered that Scorpion has been playing daily on the Roku Channel recently, and so I've been re-watching this show for the first time since 2018... Now I'm mad at how this series ended, all over again.

If I've said it once, I've said it a hundred times, don't end your season on a cliffhanger if you haven't already been renewed!

Or, like GLOW, don't end your third season on a cliffhanger even if you HAVE been renewed, but then a global pandemic halts production for months before Netflix decides to axe you entirely almost a year later for seemingly no real reason.

Maybe we should just stop with the end of season Who Shot JR? / What's in the Hatch? cliffhangers. Seems the modern media landscape has (d)evolved past them.
