TV - What's your passion (NON-sports)?

Just started watching Luke Cage a few days ago - I'm maybe halfway through the series. Must say I have been pretty impressed with the show. Slower pace and different vibe than Jessica Jones and Daredevil, but I'm really digging it. Well done.

Finished watching it this morning. Very good show. Now, on to Iron Fist, the Defenders, and whenever the follow up series for Daredevil and Jessica Jones comes out!

I'd recommend Stranger Things, Mr. Robot and Atlanta right now. They are relatively new shows so they'd be easy to get into.

Atlanta is sort of a Better call Saul type comedy. Each episode has it's own feel to it. Stranger things is probably the easiest to get. Definitely influenced by Stand By Me/Stephen King's It/Goonies.

Need to start Westworld soon before the episode start piling up.

Also Walking Dead premiered tonight. I don't think I would be able to watch a cast of characters I've come to love go through such horrible events if I haven't built up my tolerance for mental anguish from being a Kings fan. There have been a handful of episodes that made me feel ill and disturbed going to work the next day and this was probably one of them. I knew things were going to be horrible when disclaimer showed up a second time after coming back from commercial break but I just couldn't look away.

I binge watched "Containment" which is on Netflix now. Pretty good virus/doomsday show with some conspiracy weaved in. I was disappointed to learn that the show was cancelled by CW...hopefully Netflix will pick it up like they did with "The Killing."

I stopped watching that show for a long time, I think it was during season 4 when it looked like the baby had been killed. I recently started watching it again...of course I learned the baby had actually been rescued and am now caught up through season 5. I'm hearing there's been a lot of disgust about something that happened in the current season, but I'm afraid to find out lol.

The Good Place is already one of the most consistent comedies on television and Ted Danson is reminding us why people consider him a TV legend.

Pitch has been surprisingly good considering all the opportunities it has to be bad.

And Supergirl continues to be maybe the funnest hour of television every week.

Two current favorites: Lucifer and Dirk Gently. Also like The Good Place and I think Man with a Plan is cute. The Walking Dead episode from last Sunday is still taking up space in my mind...arguably one of the best hours of episodic TV I have ever seen.

Class is really fun television. Always a sucker for good sci-fi/horror/comedy.

Dirk Gently is also fun.

This is Us is over-the-top schmaltz that I am enjoying more than I probably should.

I have some problems with the plotting and pacing of Westworld but it may be the best show television drama of all time.

I'd say Homeland has something to say about that

Just started watching "Is OJ Innocent?" on the Investigation Discovery channel. If Dr. Henry Lee is to believed, there are a LOT of problems with how the crime scene was handled by the LAPD. I followed every minute of the OJ trial when it happened. This show, so far, is bringing up a lot of questions that were not even hinted at back then.

Recently got done watching The Man in the High Castle. Enjoyed it very much. Now I'm on to Luke Cage. It's off to a good start so far.

Not Tv, but for those who enjoy history there are some really good history podcasts available. Dan Carlins hardcore history and Prof CJs Dangerous history are both very good. Great for listening to while doing chores or during drives.

I need to watch it.
Did you watch the one they did on CBS about Jonbenet Ramsey? That was excellent

I'm a sucker for true crime stories... I think I've watched all the JonBenet ones. Hell, I even watched the ridiculous one about the Menendez Brothers.

The OJ one ended up being interesting for the simple reason they brought up some things that I had wondered about.

Well it's been a week and I still can't stop thinking about Sneaky Pete so that's something.

Also that The Good Place ending!

Good to see Walton Goggins (Boyd Crowder, Justified) back on TV. Six could quickly climb to the top of my "don't miss" list.

Shows I'm watching:

Ray Donovan season 4
Fear the Walking Dead season 2
Hell on Wheels season 5
This Is Us (wife's fav show)

Also Narcos was awesome...hadn't seen anyone mention it yet.

i don't have much interest in Six, but Walton Goggins is an american treasure. Justified was one of my favorite shows anywhere on tv during its splendid and insanely consistent run. as a result, i'm of a mind that goggins and Timothy Olyphant should be in everything. they're delightful screen presences.

He was good on The Shield as well.

Thus far, Six seems to be "in the style" of the first couple of seasons of Homeland. I'll probably stick with it for a while.

I totally agree about Justified. I'm still not happy about that show ending.

I loved Hell on Wheels. Another one of those series based on history I really wished they could have found a way to continue.
