Your favorite and least favorite TV shows. New or old, discuss what are some of your favorite TV shows at the moment or just in general.

My number one favorite is The King of Queens, then at two I would go with Two and a Half Men, new season started by the way for those of you who follow that show. I'm not big on 70's Show, I just can't ever get into it. I love Entourage, they recently finished their finale so I have to def. catch up with that.

I also hear Dexter is a good show, but I never watched it or read anything about it. Always Sunny in Philadelphia isn't too bad, it's pretty entertaining if you get amused easily.

I don't know if Jersey Shore qualifies as a TV show, but I guess I can put it in here, I don't get what makes those people in particular so special to have already committed to Season 3 & 4, but whatever, it's entertaining.

I'm also a big fan of the Real World shows, just last week they finished Real World New Orleans, I wonder what city they are going to film in next?

Anyways, you all get the idea. Thoughts?

Dexter is great, I really didn't like the third season then they went and blew it all away with an amazing fourth season.

Stuff I'm watching now... Chuck, Sons of Anarchy (I think this one is ridiculous but I can't tear myself away), Supernatural, East Bound and Down and hoping we'll see a third season of Z-Rock some day (IFC just ran the first two seasons back to back so maybe hope?). Ultimate Fighter is about the only reality I watch regularly (well American Idol too but that show has really run its course). I'm checking out all the new shows but haven't really seen anything I liked yet. Haven't gotten around to "The Event" yet, they sure hyped the crap out of it. I will make sure it gets through 4 episodes before I invest time in it.

Yeah I def. hear Dexter is a show worth watching, isn't it about an assassin or something like that? As for Chuck, Sons of Anarchy, East Bound, Down & Z-Rock, I have never heard of any of those shows before. Supernatural I can't really get into, I tend to watch the Vampire Diaries for some reason, I don't know why, but I find it interesting. I can't stand Twilight though, so I guess the show is the way to go. As for other shows, I mostly watch Comedy type shows, I don't really know what else is good out there so I tend to watch what looks entertaining.

Dexter is about a vigilante-serial killer (basically he is a serial killer who only kills other serial killers). It's fantastic.

Chuck is on NBC, I'm surprised you have never heard of it. It's about an everyday Joe that gets turned into a spy. A lot of it takes place in a Best Buy clone and that has always amused me since I spend too much time in those stores.

Sons of Anarchy is on FX Tuesdays, it's in its third season, about a biker gang. I've encountered enough bikers to know that this show is ridiculous and also that the majority of the bikers are far too pretty but its still a fun show.

East Bound and Down is on HBO, its about a baseball player who is down on his luck. Only had about 6 episodes last year and kind of caught on after its first run. Great show though.

Z-Rock was on IFC about a band who are rockers by night but a kids band by day. It was loaded with celebrity cameos and most of the show was adlibbed if I understand right. Absolutely hilarious, I only really started watching it because the two Z brothers were regulars at this NY Club (Arlene's Grocery) in the early 2000s and I saw them a few times doing the live music karaoke they have their and they were amazing.

My wife got me into Supernatural and I found it pretty good, I think she has since quit watching. lol

Ahh I see I see, yeah I thought it was something like that. It does sound pretty interesting, I might have to check it out sometime, do they play it on TV anywhere?

I have heard of Chuck here & there, I just never knew what it was, but thank you for clearing that up. It doesn't sound too interesting to me, but you never know.

Sons of Anarchy I can't really dig any shows that has to do with biker gangs, it seems pretty boring to me.

East Bound/Down I probably wouldn't like it too much because I don't follow Baseball all that much.

Z-Rock sounds pretty interesting, if it's on IFC you know no one ever hears about shows that are on those movie channels that aren't as popular as the "main" ones.

Hah why is that?

Overall though, I am sure there are plenty of good and entertaining shows out there to watch, I just need to read up on em. Hey if you want a site, I know one that's good for TV shows, it has every possible TV show you can think of on it and you can watch episodes through the site. Only problem is, it used Megavideo and after 3 episodes or so, it says something stupid like "you have to wait 58 min. to watch this video" and then in an hour again you can come back and watch three more. It does get annoying, but you can also get ideas from there & just download em.

Dexter is my favorite and season 5 starts at the end of this month!

I also like Psych on USA, really funny.

Those are the only two shows I really watch.

Yeah I had that megavideo problem when I first started watching Dexter so I just downloaded them and put them on my PS3 to watch.

It really has very little to do with baseball, though it does tackle the "jock culture". It's a pure comedy, Will Ferrell is involved with it, it stars Danny McBride who you may recognize from some hilarious turns in smaller roles (the explosives guy in Tropic Thunder may be my favorite).

The first season was about a washed up jock trying to integrate back into home town life. This second season (starting Sunday) appears to be about him going to Mexico to attempt another career resurrection which leads me to believe that it may be played even more over the top.

I love It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, i have all the seasons on dvd and they just never seem to get old. I also just started watching "The League" on fx and that's pretty funny too, especially if you're a fantasy football player

Oh man, I started watching that show for the first time last week, they were in Vegas. I loved it! It's about football, what else do you need! I just forgot, what time and day does it usually come on? What channel? I'm not 100% sure.

The Wire (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wire) is by far the best TV show i've ever seen, it's scarily realistic, has great storyline and acting and a phenomenal screenplay, sometimes i still put on some episodes only to listen again to the dialogues.
I used to watch the Wire all the time on HBO, then I stopped for quite sometime. Do they still play it on TV anywhere? Are they done with all the seasons?

@PDX: Regarding that East Bound/Down show, what channel can I get that out at? I might have to give it a shot, it doesn't sound too bad.

It ended with the fifth season, i don't live in the usa so i don't know if it's still on tv, you can easily find all the episodes online though.

I like Fringe and House currently. But even despite the ridiculously dumb ending, LOST is still the best show ever IMO. At least for those of us that bothered trying to keep up with it after Season 3

Yes, The Wire is quite comfortably one of the two best shows of all time, my only competitor would be Six Feet Under. The show you got your avatar from looked very promising as well, but kind of fell apart in the middle of the second season. There was a TV Show Draft not too long ago, I pretty much got most of my favourite shows there and got to know quite a lot of other, very interesting shows. Worth a look anyways.

It's on HBO. They must have streamed the first season somewhere though because it got popular about 6 months after it originally aired.

By the way, anybody here check out Nikita yet? I watched the first episode last week. I mostly watch it because well yeah....but overall it seems like it has some potential.

Watched the pilot of The Event. I'm a big LOST fan and I feel a huge emptiness in my soul since it ended, so maybe The Event can help fill the void a little. Doubt it though. Looks interesting, but I'm not sold. I hear the second episode is better than the first though, so we'll see.
