Trade with Brooklyn

This is just a trade I put together between the Kings and the Nets and I'd like to hear some responses.

SACRAMENTO RECEIVES:
F Kevin Garnett
G Markel Brown
C Jerome Jordan

Brings the Kings a veteran PF in Garnett to teach Cousins some things as well as play alongside him. Plus Markel Brown and Jerome Jordan provide some nice young depth on this team.

BROOKLYN RECEIVES:
F Derrick Williams
F Jason Thompson
G Nik Stauskas

The Nets are apparently looking to deal a number of players so getting these 3 players would provide potential for them moving forward and they don't really have a place with the Kings.

I'd also like to add Garnett doesn't have a say in this so his big ego of wanting to play in a big market is irrelevant (since that seems to be the norm of the NBA and the prima donna players).

As soon as he gets over himself this would be a good trade for the Kings trying to make the playoffs.

I could see Garnett pulling a Jason Terry and just flat out refusing to come to Sacramento. Also it doesn't seem prudent to give up our last lottery pick and a serviceable big for a short term rental. I don't really have interest in any of Brooklyn's veterans. Joe Johnson would help us, but that contract is beyond brutal.

Wouldn't he have to come to Sacramento since he's under contract though? I guess if he were to be traded and then retire (IOW quit due to the trade).

If the Kings want him to play for them and have no interest in waiving him or trading him again then he has no choice right?

Look, I would love to have Garnett on our team. But not at that price. Garnett is 38 years old on the last year of his contract, and who even knows if he's willing to play beyond this year. Brown and Jordan are nothing but Cannon fodder. If we wanted Jordan, we could have snatched him up this summer when he was a freeagent. To give up a great young prospect in Stauskas, and a proven 28 year old veteran in JT it way too high a price to pay for a 38 year old, probably going to retire at years end veteran. Williams, despite his struggles since he was drafted, is still a better prospect than Jordan and Brown combined, and were probably letting him walk at years end. Unless he wants to sign for the league minimum.
