trade proposal SAC - LA C

Big Cuz 15

All-Star
Kings out

Artest

Kings in

Salary capspace, LAC 09 1st round pick

LAC out

Capspace, 09 1st round pick

LAC in

Ron Artest

With LA C losing maggette to the dub's. They have a small hole to fill at SF position. It's a small gamble for the clips as they have the capspace to absorb a 1 year player. It's much better for them to take a gamble on a 1 year player and not really have to give anything up except a pick.

For Sac, they get capspace, pick and open a slot for the salmons or garcia to start.

This is a win win situation for both teams.

If Lakers want to give Odom for Artest why not try to bring Lamar back to the team that drafted him.
P.S. LOL Just saw that Lakers are reluctant to part with Odom. Should've started to read the forum from Kings' forum. :)

Thornton is best off as a sixth man this year splitting time between the 3/4
-- he still needs time to devolop

they have shown interest towards Iggie and if the they can't get Smith or Iggy(im sure both offers will be matched) -- Artest is a much better option for them than Randolph, especially for one year

If nothing else, they get a viable SF that allows to contend a bit and they can S&T him at the end of the season.

Kings Send: SF Ron Artest, PF Kenny Thomas

Clippers Send: cash considerations

we move Brad for a expiring + picks near the deadline and we set ourselves up with Cap Room to go after a notable FA

I agree that the fact that their interested in Iggy nullifies the Thorton theory. I personally would rather have Iggy than Artest, but he is a restricted free agent and their both SF's. I'm just not sure a crazy owner is willing to take on a crazy player.

Is it possible that the Clippers would be interested in Brad AND Artest?

Clippers Lineup:

Davis
Gordon
Artest
Miller
Kaman

That team looks solid to me...gives the Clips a legitimate chance to make a run next year. It atleast looks better than Z-BO.

Would the Clips be willing to give up Thorton and a draft pick along with cap relief to make it appealing to the Kings?

They could trade Mobley for Big Z and they would have the slowest frontcourt rotation in the league.

LOL, that is a good backcourt. undersized but they can sure put it in the hole. they do need a PF that can draw some double teams down on the block to free up some space for their wing players.
