Kenny= 6th man of the year!!!!!!! ahahahahahah man you Kings fans on this site are very funny!! Good laughs with that one lol

I like the idea of the 2 williams boys in Toronto(Aaron and Eric) that was mentioned in another thread or this one. They're both bangers and Toronto now has a 17 man roster so they'll be forced to make deals either by trades or cuts.

Reserves: C: Skinner/A. Williams
PF: A. Williams//Skinner
SF: KT/E. Williams
SG: K Martin/F.Garcia
PG: Hart/Price

KT ran the offense pretty well last season with us. He has a good jumpshot, he's a good slasher, good rebounder, can get steals, and has some toughness. Depends on the minutes for 6MOTYC though.

It's a question mark whether he is a King next season though.

just watch playa.... he might not be 6th man but he will be a great contribution off the bench!

If were looking to win a championship now or in the next couple years, we would be better off keepind MO as the backup 2 guard. With that, shipping thomas and martin for a backup C doesn't sound too bad. Then we resign songaila and were set.

SAR/songaila
Bibby/hart
Wells/MO/cisco
Stojakovic/corlis?/cisco
Brad/backup from trade?

Brian Skinner weighs about 270, he can handle the C duties for a reason. C'mon were talking backup minutes. I think Brian could be quite a good backup, b/c he is typically able to produce with short minutes.

Sadly, Mo's been all but gone since 2-3 days ago, we can't and won't match the offer. I lost hope of him coming back 2 weeks ago.

WANE-TV - The Detroit Pistons have signed Sacramento's Maurice Evans to a three-year $4.5 million-dollar offer.

The Kings have seven days to match the offer to retain Evans, a restricted free agent.

Detroit wants to add the six-foot-five, 220-pound Evans because he would provide depth behind starting small forward Tayshaun Prince and shooting guard Richard Hamilton.

He would compete with Carlos Delfino and Ronald Dupree for playing time, if Sacramento doesn't match the offer.

The Pistons have offered Evans a three-year deal that starts at $1.5 million next season, hoping to fill the void of a quality backup for Tayshaun Prince on the team that has been in the NBA Finals two straight seasons. And despite Evans' status as a restricted free agent of the Kings, team president of basketball operations Geoff Petrie said the lack of any more salary cap exceptions means they are unable to match any offer above the approximately $895,000 they offered the 26-year-old in late June. Translation: No mo' Mo. The Pistons' offer is believed to be guaranteed for the first two years, with a team option for the third.
"We don't have any rights of any kind," said Petrie, who had not yet received the offer sheet but knew it was on its way. "It's unlikely that we would do it anyway at this point with the way our roster is. It's unlikely that we'll match, and I told (Kings co-owner) Joe (Maloof) we'd give (Evans and the Pistons) a quick turnaround."

I see our line-up like this:

Bibby/Hart/Garcia/Price
Wells/Martin or Garcia or exp. OG/Garcia or Martin
Peja/probably Barnes/Wells/Garcia
SAR/Skinner or someone else/Sampson
Brad/Trade player/Skinner/Sampson

I don't have Songaila or Thomas there because they're both question marks, and Corliss is gonna be gone.

I expect a signing, and a trade or two.

Its going to be nice to have a set lineup for once! The last 2 years have been total chaos in regards to personel.

If we don't match the offer of Mo and we are still looking for a player or 2 to help us in D, can we do a sign and trade for Song and probably add Corliss and draft picks in the mix to Chicago since they are interested in Song anyway? Or we could probably wait for Toronto cuz they have a 17 man roster now and they will need to make cuts or deals to make the 15 player minimum. I really like to get the Williams boys(Aaron and Eric) from Toronto.
Wave your magic wand Petrie and make it happen!

113, I know he's more than likely gone, but since we have 7 days to match and that there's a possibility of trades in those 7 days, I'm keeping hope that we could keep him.

Got news for you buddy, you're a kings fan on this site and I think you're pretty funny. I'm a big Darius fan, but KT is a better player. I'd like to see Darius stay, but...

last time I checked Skinner was an excellent back-up center

Where were you checking?

"Excellent" just doesn't seem quite right, and I like King Tut...

I wouldn't say he's excellent, but he's a good back-up big man. I don't think he'll be backing up Brad, but moreso at PF, or splitting PT at both PF/C.

I can't help but remember those first few games before Skinner hurt his thumbs when he played really well. He had some offense to his game too. I'd like to see more of that, but I hear he's been an up and down player his whole career. Remember when the three guys from philly brought down thirty some odd rebounds?

Yeah, he was rolling before he hurt his thumbs, and was inconsistent then. Then he sprained his foot/ankle in the last game vs. Suns, which obviously both hurt his playoff series and us.
