It would also save Morey from the indignity of having to sign a washed up James Harden over the offseason.Dame and Embiid would be pretty sick.

wow. Talk about selling low. Cov and Powell are legit good complimentary pieces and they essentially just get Keon for it.

they are in full tank mode like we should be. They would be happy to give us the 10 spot and Vivek and Monte are dumb enough to take it. Yeah get to 10 seed so you can play a healthy Lakers or Clippers

I think we are losing plenty. Maybe we are not "tanking" but we are "stinking" enough for the difference to be inconsequential.they are in full tank mode like we should be. LOL. This is the opposite of competent ownership. This is saving money so you don't have to pay the luxury tax. Nothing to do with trying to get reset assets and build for the future.
This essentially the equivalent of us trading Harrison Barnes and Richaun Holmes for Keon Johnson and enders. Trash trade
In all fairness, when we eventually did trade JT, it probably did more harm than good.I'm pretty sure the answer is nothing.
At this point I'm prepared for Buddy Hield to outdo Jason Thompson as the King we thought would get moved/replaced, but somehow stuck around for way more seasons than anyone expected.
That Lakers pick is also viably a lotto pick though and that's even before taking Lebron's knee issues into consideration.
I don’t think the Lakers have any protections on their picks though which makes them insanely valuable as assets. It feels like New Orleans could end up with both picks this year just as easily as they could lose both picks.
Either way, of all the teams we've been linked with, I think New Orleans is our best chance at getting a solid return for either Fox and/or Barnes. If they're feeling pressure to give Zion a team NOW with his extension coming up they'll have to sacrifice some young players/picks to do it
Kawhi’s not playing this seasonThe Clippers just got that much more dangerous, as a legit contender in the West. Powell and Covington can be difference makers in the playoffs
If I'm the Blazers, I try to get Maxey in with Simmons for a Dame deal, maybe a pick or two as well. Absolutely do not know if Morey swallows his pride and does that though.

Always hated Randles game. Reminds me of Bagley.
What is he going to give us 7/8 more wins? If we're lucky.
I don't think Randle would be worth 7-8 wins for the Kings, but one should realize that 7-8 wins from one player is a lot.
Definitely a move for next year I think, but assuming PG comes back, I wouldn't rule out them making some noise this year. Suns and Warriors are in a tier of their own, but I don't think there's a huge gap in that next tier with Utah, Mem, Dallas, Denver, LAC, Twolves. They just got 2 starters for nothing, which is a serious talent influx to close that gap.
Both are centers in the modern NBA.
Randle's maybe a bit more score first than Sabonis is but he's also a better shooter than Domas is and their roles on offense are different enough that it's sorta hard to compare their efficiencies one way or another, especially this year when Robinson being healthy has sorta forced Randle back out to the perimeter on offense and Carlisle keeps coaching the Pacers like it's 1997.
Randle's got good court vision for his size, maybe not Sabonis level but he's not exactly Willie Cauley-Stein cluelessly holding the ball on the perimeter. He does get tunnel vision at times while also settling for bad shots more than he should but on a roster with Tyrese and Mitchell, that might actually be preferable to Sabonis, who also has a tendency to defer at times?
Honestly, I'm not too big a fan of going for either guy but I guess the idea is that a trade for Randle might actually result in us getting other assets back beyond just a 27 year old big man who was an all-star last season?
