[NBA] Trade Deadline Season 2026 Open Thread

oh yeah just integrate AD into the team mid playoffs. Sounds like a winning plan.

And Ja wanting to go to Miami read through my mind like this:

Then you have 2 years to do something. And one of those possible somethings is build a team that makes sense and start winning again. You know, like we did a few years ago. We don't have to dump him for one unkown FRP. And he will likely be worth more in trade as a 1-year (ending) deal than a two-year deal considering everyone is complaining about his contract.

The second bolded statement is patently false.
If we can agree that the team has to do something in order try and compete, that's good enough for me.

It's intellectually permissible to think there are scenarios that include Domas on the team; I just haven't heard any that are plausible to me within a 2 year timeframe.

If there isn't a plausible path, then it becomes very important to maximize the value of Domas as an asset, which anchors his value in terms of what he can do for other teams.

That should put an end to Kuminga to Sac, lol. The Nets probably have a better footing than they did trying to get max value from Cam but c'mon now.

I’m guessing if the Kings are involved in that deal it would be 1 first and 1 second from the Warriors and 2 seconds from the Kings. So 1 first and 3 seconds plus Monk and maybe Moody or something

what is a lesser FRP than a Lakers pick 5 years from now? They have Luka and will probably have money once Bron retires to sign a marquee free agent. They'll probably dupe someone into taking on Reeves who will be nothing once he loses the Lakers whistle.

I guess I can see OKC kicking the can down the road but few other teams are going to take that bet, also typically picks today are worth more than one in the future, so the idea they could get more than a 1:1 is a head scratcher.
