What is the latest a team can cut him to only pay out the 10m? July 1 or do they have until the season starts?
According to Spotrac, the contract doesn't become fully guaranteed until Jan. 10 2027. Plenty of time to find a buyer.

Yeah seems like it would be no problem to move him at the draft for a team looking to clear 15 million in space that can immediately cut him then.

If they were actually thinking logically, they wouldn’t have traded an All-NBA defensive guard, who immediately won a title elsewhere, a second one for him, plus a haul of first-round picks for a high-profile scorer like Dame$, only for the experiment to hastily end with a torn Achilles.
They also wouldn’t have fallen for the "veteran consultant" trap; hiring an experienced coach to "mentor" Griffin went exactly as expected, the consultant undermined the young coach, pushed him out, and seized the job for himself.
If they were thinking logically, they wouldn't have been looking at Dame and now LaVine as saviors to keep Giannis.

Morant might not like being in Sacramento (if he's traded here), but it may be the best spot for him to grow up and possibly save his career.
When the lead item in "putting 2+2 together" is completely irrelevant, why bother with the rest?
I think Toronto might be but Sacramento is probably a safe landing spot for him to get out of trouble.
I don't quite recall trade deadline becoming musical chairs where you just tarmac your disgruntled player at the last away game before the deadline, but that might be fun to include in the next CBA.
