Ticha Penicheiro - A Monarch for Life

"Against New York a few weeks ago, she scored a season-high 18 points. She averages 9.6 a game and last Saturday, against Los Angeles, she amassed her 2,000th career point." Great article!

I don't remember anything being said about her 2000 at the game.

I had that same reaction when I read that....I'll be interested to see if that's honored tonight. For some reason Yo's 4,000th wasn't recognized prior to that first playoff game last year and I never understood why unless she didn't want anything done.

She has put up astounding numbers offensively and defensively...I am pretty sure she has more rebounds than any guard in the league, to go along with the most steals of any guard (depending how you classify Swoopes nowadays) and of course the most assists. :)still coughing:futurehalloffamerbothwomenscbbandnaismithhof:cough:)

I'd take 2,500pts/2,500ast/1500rebs before she is allowed to retire...and she can toss in the triple double I swore she'd have after her rookie year too just for kicks...;)

Ditto..Great article

Not quite; she's up there, though.

As I mentioned last month, Penicheiro and Vickie Johnson are the only two players in WNBA history with at least 2000+ career points, 1000+ career rebounds and 1000+ career assists.

Aw crap...she's got the point guards smoked then.. I knew I looked that much up ;)

I will begin the petition to convince VJ to retire...and that she do so tonight...and the fact that she screwed me in Pick One has no bearing on this sentiment at all...;)
