Letsgokings,
Sarcasm rarely is productive on forums. Let's review. Robinson is a highly touted rookie that has not come close to scoring in double digits. Respect has to be earned, especially in the NBA. There are 2 things that are taboo in basketball- swinging high elbows at someone's head on purpose and cutting out a player's legs when he is high in the air. Robinson might as well have someone draw a target on his back. He is going to get whacked one of these days. Men that are 6'9" and go 250 can kill somebody. Remember Rudy Tamjanovic?
I played a lot of street ball for money, and industrial leagues for many decades. Some guys like to play rough and I could usually wear them out because I learned from the best. As an undersized center, I got by on intensity and agressiveness, more or less within the rules. Banging, shoving, grabbing jerseys, breaking ribs with elbows, blood, black eyes, etc are all part of the game, but swinging an elbow into a guy's throat after the play is a strict taboo. Making the phone call could save Robinson a trip to the hospital. I was glad to see that Smart agreed with my idea to sit Robinson for a couple of games.
