The REAL reason they are losing!!

The reason? THOSE DAMN THROWBACK UNIFORMS! I don't get to see every Kings games because i now live in "Sonic-land" (booo!) but every time they are playing at home on national TV, they are wearing those throwback jerseys from the 80's and early 90's. How horrid were those days!!? It's called karma! Baaaad vibes!! Quit it!! Quit it!!! Quit it!!! I know throwback jerseys are the "in thing" now but not for our beloved Kings!! Everytime i see Brad Miller in those uniforms, i think of Joe Kleine!! Everytime i see Peja i think of Reggie Theus (okay, a little stretch on this one but you get what i mean).

Hmmmm...I don't know about that, but I do like the baby blues. The change up from purple and black can be refreshing I think.

I hear ya! :)

I must admit the new "throwbacks" look better than the original jerseys upon which they are based, but I do have to agree that invoking the spirits of the bag 'ole days is FAR more dangerous than digging up the bones of 100 Indian tribes could ever be.

I've seen the kings in those Blue unis more than the Purple jerseys this season. I liked them at first but now I'm starting to miss those ugly Purple ones.
 
i personally don't like how they are satin it shows all the places they are sweating at which to me is very unattractive (yes i know it shouldn't be about that it should just be about the game of basketball blah blah blah--hey what do you want Im a girl for gosh sakes :) )
 
we need to go back to the black ones! those black jerseys were the best in the NBA at the time.

that's what i'm saying. the 2002 road jerseys were the best. the black ones. i don't know why they got rid of those for the ugly purple jerseys they have now.

and about the throwbacks, i think we're 3-1 in those and that's definately NOT the reason this team is losing.

I beg to differ -- I think there is a cumulative deterioration effect to males wearing the color "baby blue". I'm pretty sure that there must be research out there proving conclusively that each wearing of that color can bleed as much of 10% of the testosterone out of a fully grown male, and it can take years to get it back. If we insist on continuing to wear those things, won't be long before all our guys have full on man boobs and we are back in the lottery. :D

Proof above. I never recalled seeing Coop spooning one of the Celtics in their ugly green unis. The baby blue made Kenny look more femme than usual.
 
I hear ya... Those things look like they belong in the Fire Island leage... howcan you expect a palyer to set a mean pick or slam dunk in powder blue satin...

Does it apply to teams like Nuggets? They wear baby blue half the season.

Personally I have no problem with this year's retro jersey. Better than the Lakers!!! As I remember they beat Cavs and Piston wearing those. Both are great games... :D

About the retro, to me it seem like the Kings have actually won more games this season when wearing it? So I have no problem with those baby blue jersey. But last season, those Royals jersey shouldn't be allow!

Then why is North Carolina a perrennial powerhouse of college basketball?????
But I agree. I'm sick of throwbacks. It's not just the Kings it's the whole damn league.

Gargamel: You save old Kings pics?? ;) You should post them in the Art Studio. We got a thread going on in there about old Kings pics. But none of ours is as old as that one. :D

The pic he posted is coming from photobucket.com not gettyimages.com even though it says the Getty logo on it. If he did find it at gettyimages site, I would like to know where so I can go see the old pics! ;)
 
That Corliss jersey has to be nearly the ugliest thing I have ever seen anyone make a human wear...what is up with the checkerboard design on the sides?? yuck! I'll take the baby blues over that ANY day! ;)
