arent assists calculated differently in fiba? i heard thats why their assist numbers are always lower than nba players....4.5 assists in 25 minutes, not bad.... not bad at all....

5.5 pts per 25 minutes on 42% shooting, terrible...terrible...

low scoring game.... and why was rubio shooting all of those threes? i think they wanted to lose that game. there is no reason for such a weak shooter to be shooting so many three pointers.

I'm going to guess that Rubio is trying to develop an outside shot, since his lack of perimeter shooting was one of the weaknesses people pointed to. Unfortunately, I don't think an international tournament is the right time to be trying to change one's game...but maybe that's just me.

not only do they drive on the wrong side of the road they pick the wrong time to work on their game.... now i understand why peja airballed those shots.... he had flash backs of learning to shoot threes in pressure situations and he choked. i guess thats why you need a closer.....

What's up with Spain?

We miss too much Calderon and Jimenez, specially Jimenez. That bold, tall guy who rebounded and defended as a ****ing beast, you may remember him from the Olympics. He may have never sounded as a NBA guy as he was too slow, but his D was a huge quality leap in this national team. Really.

Anyway, the really disaster is Sergio Scariollo, the italian coach. He's really, really dumb. He went to the championship with 4 PG.. He left SergioR there in Sacramento, but he picked up Raul Lopez, who is completly finished. He can't read the games, he can't improve zone deffenses for transitions, he doesn't know how to adjust to pression...

Ricky is doing a very irregular championship, being the main PG is too much for a 18 year old guy. Against Turkey he was really bad, but against Slovenia he stole two essential balls in the 4th quarter when we were losing....



I'd be glad if we arrive to quarter finals.
