Sunhead of
1617 Amsterdam Bed and Breakfast is located in the heart of the city on the Herengracht, Amersterdam's most central and most prestigious canal. The house was built in
1617, making it one of the oldest buildings of the Herengracht and a national monument. The name "Sunhead" derives from the gable stone, as pictured above, which features a bright, smiling sunhead on an original feature of the building. The sunhead was rediscovered in 1993.
