The "Making All NBA News About DeMarcus Cousins" Thread

I don't know where else to put this, but as a comparison star behavior, Draymond Greeen just got blasted on Reddit /NBA for being a douche who wouldn't even cough up tickets that were promised a winning Twitter fan who designed a logo for him.

https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/4b0qsg/draymond_green_promised_game_tickets_for_winning/

Could you imagine the amount of hand-wringing and gnashing of teeth if Cousins was one-tenth the d-bag Draymond seems?

But he's on an exteremely more talented team, so his personality "flaws" are excused.

I started a new thread because I don't know where this belongs either. I am reasonably certain, however, it will end up just being another rant/rave about DMC anyway and quicking quit being about DG.

Draymond green yells at refs=passionate

Cousins yells at refs=problem

Green yells at one of the best three coaches in the league = just Draymond being Draymond

Cousins yells at the worst coach in the league = cancer

Cause Green= the reason the warriors win
cousins=the reason the kings lose

Remember it doesn't matter that green plays with Steph Curry, klay Thompson, bogut, iguadola, Barnes, and has Kerr coaching him. His PASSION is why the warriors win.

Cousins is trying to carry the corpse of George Karl through games. He needs to stop being an angry problem and be more of a passionate winner like Draymond. Am I Rite /sarcasm

MOD NOTE: You called Green "Dante"...I corrected that for you.

I imagine there would be a lot.

I think we should remember that - to the best of my understanding - even the Cousins detractors don't accuse him of being a bad person in "real life". He hasn't ever been in trouble with the law that we know of, he visits kids in hospitals, etc. As far as anybody can tell, he's an absolute teddy bear once he leaves the Sleep Train parking lot. And I don't think anybody on either side has suggested otherwise.

So Draymond Green appears to be a bad guy off the court. That's a shame. But I'm not sure it's a good reason to try to re-instigate a DMC fight. Can we have some cooler heads in this thread and keep it about Green?

Over/under 5

It is sad that you guys accept Cousins as the "best we can do".

The last six years with him, and others, has been unbelievably bad. Cousins doesn't have a clue how to win/lead a team.

Well we could have lillard or leonard or Drummond or mcculum (sp?) or curry but you know I bet that's cousins fault too

Edit: spelling

I don't really think that posting a link to a blog/subreddit about a player on another team, and tossing in an "If that were Cousins..." at the end makes a topic Kings-related, but whatever.

Fixed it for you, buddy!

Aside: I do agree with you that Cuz's leadership needs a lot of work. But blaming him for this team's woes is silly.

Possibly trying to put things in perspective ................ for all those who say he is weak mentally (Cousins), it takes one hell of a strong willed individual not to say get me the "bleep" out of here. It takes mental strength not to take the easy way out.

I couldn't think of another title but I didn't think the post belonged in the thread where it was originally posted, so this one's on me and not the OP.

I don't think that is appreciated enough. Hell there are times I wish I could stop being a kings fan. Cousins has yet to ask to get the hell away from here. Despite this franchise tripping over itself constantly he is still here.

Does anyone doubt for a second that if/when Cousins leaves the Kings he is going to find success? That should tell you much more about the kings than anything else

I think this thread should be closed. It's already said that Draymond Green offered the guy tickets to 4-5 games last year...but he declined all of them. Once the WCF rolled around, he begged Green to give him tickets.....

Any coincidence that he's bringing all of this up now since the season is almost over?

He's been harassing Draymond and his mom over twitter..which is why Draymond blocked him. Seems like he was just promoting himself and trying to get playoff tickets. What a jerk of a Warriors fan... he can honestly pee off.

First off, I think Draymond Green is a heckuva player. I wish the Kings had him. That said, that guy cries almost as much as DeMarcus does yet in no way receives the same criticism. In some ways I think it's worse because the Warriors have lost 7 freaking games all season and haven't really even been in all that many close ones. What the %^&* does the guy really have to complain about? I've noticed that anytime the Warriors are in a close game, like tonight against the Spurs, he goes on tilt any time a call doesn't go his way. I can't imagine that he'd be any better if on a team like the Kings where losing was the norm.

That's kinda been my point all along about DeMarcus. If the team starts winning, his antics would diminish and be less of a problem.

True. NBATV was already bringing it up. Story about nothing but will still get views/clicks. Maybe they ought to write a story about "the look" the security guard gave?

They did make a good point though. Maybe he just likes being angry, it's who he is. He plays better when he is angry, sometimes at least.
