The latest on Magloire

Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel - Teams can now officially make trades and sign players, and one player who constantly is named in rumors and is a good chance to be dealt in the near future is the Bucks' Jamaal Magliore.

The Bucks have openly acknowledged they are shopping Magloire, who is due to make $8.3 million in the final year of his contract during the 2006-'07 season. According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, after acquiring forward Charlie Villaneuva for guard T.J. Ford earlier this month, the Bucks are looking to move the former All-Star for a guard.

"Now I look with Jamaal Magloire, and it takes on a different aura," GM Larry Harris said. "We really needed a power forward, and now that we feel we've got that position covered, we'll take a look at Jamaal and see if there's anything that makes sense with him and some point guards or whatever."

"If not, we'll look in free agency."

Explains even more why KT for Magloire isn't realistic anymore.

Bucks don't want Bonzi when they already have Redd/Simmons/Noel/Illyasova at the wings. Plus Villanueva will play at SF sometimes.

do any of you think that he'll end up on the knicks? they have 2 overpriced all-star point guards....

So their answer to getting better is dropping TJ Ford and Jamal Magloire, only to basically replace them with Charlie Villanueva? Just be glad that we don't have Larry Harris for a GM.

Mo Williams/Charlie Bell will be one of the best PG combos in the league. If the Bucks had a defensive-minded coach, that/the team would be even better.

I don't know I have watched both play and they are rather ordinary IMO. I think the Bucks take a step back now, but may be better off for the future.

I don't think they are that good. They might be better at the point than the following teams:

Memphis, Portland, LA Lakers, Celtics, Cavs, and Hawks.

They are mediocre at best.

No need to question it. I didn't indicate them being one of the best PG combos in the league was a joke.

Just have to agree to disagree.

"Bucks center Jamaal Magloire is expected to be jettisoned to another zip code in the next couple of days. Some NBA officials claim the Bucks are still weighing offers from five teams, with Washington being one of them."

"Wizards swingman Jared Jeffries and guard Antonio Daniels - two underachievers - have been prominently mentioned as trade bait. You can also safely assume a third underachiever, Etan Thomas, whom Bucks GM Larry Harris vigorously pursued during free agency a couple of years ago, has also been mentioned in trade talks."

"The Indiana Pacers are another team that's had more than a passing interest in acquiring Magloire. The Pacers need a big man and have a slew of swingmen that intrigue the Bucks."

Petrie, get on the ball. ;)

Daniels isn't an underachiever, he had a bad first half because he was on a new team and in a completely new system to the one of Seattle the past 4 years. He came on great in the 2nd half into the playoffs, being one of their best players.

Etan would be better in Sac where he'd get minutes with regularity, instead of all over the place in Washington with utilization by Eddie Jordan.
