I’ve tried not speaking on it, because im no doctor, but I’m thinking Fox may be dealing with something personal that we just may never know about. He just seems more down than i ever remember seeing him. It’s dangerous to speculate but I’m just putting it out there. I’ll always root for Fox though, tonight just sucked.
I’m thinking the same thing…not sure if it’s depression or something external, but the commitment and focus are not there.I’ve tried not speaking on it, because im no doctor, but I’m thinking Fox may be dealing with something personal that we just may never know about. Who is sensitive to criticism? Brown? Fox? The team?
If so, then wouldn't we have lost more games on this latest road trip? Why were we just able to come off a 5-2 record if the team is sensitive to criticism? Or did that just happen tonight?
Cade/Ivey the new Fox/Haliburton case perhaps?
Oh I see, I'm the sensitive one.
I am getting a little lost here though. In your last post, you stated the coaches were doing great! Now you're criticizing them? Color me confused!
But I suppose me asking you a question trying to qualify your position of bad coaching after a franchise record road trip, does make me pretty sensitive. I'll try really hard next time to come up with a less sensitive question, so you can really just dive into the substance of why your point is valid.

Ok, so, no sarcasm here.
I've actually gone into it quite a bit in recent weeks. The real quick summary of my general take: our offense relies too much on 3pt shooting, cannot score when shooting goes cold, our leads are fragile and we don't show mental toughness. Also, Brown has poor in game management skills (beyond just the challenge thing).
Basically, the league figured out our offense from last year and Brown has not shown the ability to counter. We get both out-coached in-game, and out schemed too often for me to have confidence in Brown going forward. He's a good coach with big limitations. He's an amazing culture guy - that's extremely valuable, but for the stated reasons, I would consider replacing him if there was a better alternative - who might actually already be on staff.
I haven't really heard a substantive counter - surely I cannot be the only person noticing these patterns. And I get it, Coach Brown has done great things for our team. But there are other people on staff that have also done great things for our team - all the way up to the FO.
We'll see what happens after the trade deadline.
The counter to all of this is that we are playing to our potential. Good enough to go on a 5-2 road trip, but also susceptible to games like this. Similar to other teams in the league. We are good, not elite. When Fox AND Murray have bad games, good chance we are losing. That’s it. Completely disagree with your assessment on Brown’s in game decisions. And your guy Jordy, who everyone agrees is going to be a quality head coach some day, is right there with Brown in his ear all game long. Constantly discussing in game matchups and strategy. I think Brown is maximizing what this team is capable of.Ok, so, no sarcasm here.

One of the problems Kings has is that things get into their heads sometimes with no apparent reason. When that happens they totally become a different player, things they can do in their sleep suddenly becomes like they are a 3rd round rookie.
Murray sometimes looks like he has no idea how to release a simple wide open 3 ball that he would probably go 10 of 10 in practice. Tired of his disappearing acts. When they start missing free throws, these misses are not even close. Barnes’s airball FT last week, Fox forgetting how to dribble, Murray air balling threes, Huerter trying to shoot the three 3-4 feet outside the 3pt line over and over again.
Thank God we have Domas. That man has the nerves like steel, never has an off night, plays smart, knows his capabilities. He is the only true star in this team to be honest.
This.I gotta agree with this. I knew Domas was good but i never thought he would end up being the one true star on this team. He is the most important guy on this team.
Yeah… too many people are so quick to act like the sky is falling and to grab their pitchforks calling out coaches and players this year after every loss. This board is going to be fun over these next couple weeks.
I know Mitchell plays very good man-to-man defense, but we needed someone like Edwards out there to keep them honest from the three-point line.
Maybe Mitchell will be gone by tomorrow night? Here's hoping.

I get that this is a message board and that is to be expected to an extent, but it just seems worse this year compared to last year for some reason.
Hopefully people can start having more fun and enjoy the ride again. We’re still in the hunt in a very tough conference. Could be much worse.
I missed a key word of "if" in that sentence.
But yeah, we've been prone to take these "easy games" for granted over the last few years.
