from a source of mine....
he told me it was just an idea thrown out there to Indy because they really want to get in the draft....he said it isnt nothing serious as yet...just entertainin calls i guess
but i'm guessing by draft night if we dnt get the players we covet so much i.e Yi B.wright Noah Hawes...then i guess we try and work a deal with indy
i was thinking if it was to become serious it would look something like this

I didn't say he's not good. And I don't care if they're comparing him to Bosh. He's NOT a better rebounder than Boozer, that is just silly.

It's not the # of posts per se, it's the # of people we see (rarely here, but very often at other places) with "I got sources, but I can't give any details" posts that are just looking for attention. Frankly, the use of texting-style language, etc, doesn't help your credibility cause - sounds more like a 14-year old trying to stir up something than anything else.
So please accept the scepticism in the manner intended.
And we do not start getting personal. No more "and your wife" comments, please.

We've had a fair share of BS around here with people saying they "know people in the Kings organization". To be honest with you, we have some people in here that are really affiliated in some ways to the Kings and they dont have anything to say. They would have said something too. If a trade goes down, it'll have to be during the draft. We all expect something to happen, and its rather crude to the people to get their hopes up for nothing. Its better just to not say anything unless you are 99.9% sure something is going down. Just my take.

The Pacers are NOT going to trade Jermaine O'Neal and his $78 million contract to the Kings for a draft pick. And, quite frankly, the "something about us not wanting the Lakers to get JO" is a prime concern of neither Geoff Petrie or the Maloofs. We have a lot bigger problems than trying to find a way to mess up the Lakers.
While just about anything might happen on draft day, this particular tidbit has to be pretty low on the totem pole of probability.

The dude's an absolute nutjob. Its bad enough to get kicked off of your college team. But your coach was Al Skinner, who's as friendly and player-oriented as any coach you'll ever find. Oh and the BC administration let him play despite the fact that he should've been academically ineligible. Think Eddie Griffin part II.
Ron Artest is bad enough but do you really need another. Unless you trade for a bottom of the 1st round/top of 2nd round pick, don't bother with this clown.
Yahoo killed the boards. I gather that some nephew of a big cheese there was given the job of improving the forum setup, and absolutely destroyed things. There had been a link from the sports.yahoo.com Kings web page to the various Kings threads, which were all together. After the redo, all NBA basketball threads were merged together in one enormous list, where you couldn't find anything. Since there was no more Kings area, there was no more link, and you had to search to find out that it even existed. Posts quickly dropped by 95%, and everyone left.
As for Sean Williams, I agree with the above poster. He's a good ball player, but I'm not attracted to the idea of a head case on the team. A guy like that can hurt everyone else's performance, and you wind up with a worse team than if you'd drafted a weaker player with a decent attitude.

the mock drafts are fun, and get us excited, but like last year, they were completely wrong because of all the trades that happened. Portland just confused everything.

well i see where your coming from .... and i cant be the fault of previous guys coming on here talking a load of BS about having "a source" ...If that was the case i really wasnt going to say anything at all.... i just thought i should have shared the little info i got to you guys because it was quite interesting at least imho
And to your comment on the whole texting-style thing....Well i didnt know you had to type on a sophisticated level, inorder for persons to see that you "actually have some sort of source" ....With that being said hey men i'm from the bahamas living in the states now, so my dialect (the way i speak/type) is that of how we/I really talk

I did say it was nothing serious at the moment...they were just throwing ideas out there (Petrie). Pacers called inquiring about the pick (so i was told) because they really want to get in this draft.
The possiblity of us trading the pick was if none of the big men we covet oh so much dnt fall to us i.e Yi Brandon Green Noah Hawes... So then i believe Petrie may/would/could strike a deal on draft night....its all a matter of waiting and seeing. Call it BS or w.e I just thought it would be nice for me to share the little msg i got.

yeah, renting JO for a year gives us cap room. cap room to sign whom, exactly? we could spend max money on Gilbert Arenas, but he'll be able to get just as much from the Wizards, plus an extra year on his contract. besides, we won't need a veteran too much next year if we're rebuilding. eventually, we'll want some vet talent, but not right away, and not for a possible franchise big man
