An NBA Original Documentary - on NBA-TV tonight. Julius Erving highlights plus interesting review linked.
For those of us who remember (I was in college during his early ABA days) it's hard to describe Dr. J's impact on many of us fans of the game - in the 1970s. He as Michael Jordan before Michael Jordan, the human highlight reel before Dominique Wilkins - the most beloved, talked about basketball player of his era (along with perhaps Pete Maravich). And The Doctor almost got to play with Pistol Pete in Atlanta but it wasn't to be - what an incredible show that would have been!
