The best fans

Prior to the Peja-Artest trade, I came to these boards everyday. It was a ritual of sorts. After the trade, my excuse (for not coming around here anymore) was I was too busy. I'd still catch the Kings games that were aired here but it felt strange. I watched practically every other team in the league and the biggest realization I came across last night is that there is no fan like the Kings fan.

Apart from numbers, that game last night was, for me, more than anything, a tribute to your (Kings fans) passion. Watching it last night made me realize that I still love the team. When you've loved them through ups and downs and in-betweens, it's practically impossible to stop. At least, that's the case for me. I'm not quite sure, though, that I'm still worthy to be called one of you.

For me, your passion make you, without question, the best fans in the league. Because you believe.

I look forward to rejoining your ranks.

Go Kings!

Fishgirl shares the correct opinion for sure, that Kings fans are the best in the league.

To support that from the Mid-west, Denver Post beat writer Marc Spears said on a Memphis sports show,

"The Grizzlies rank 26th of 30 teams in the NBA in per-game attendance, but that isn’t what Spears was talking about. He meant noise, passion, energy. “I don’t see why Memphis crowds shouldn’t be like the ones in Sacramento,” Spears said, referring the cowbell-banging crazies that have made Sacramento’s Arco Arena one of the league’s better homecourt advantages over the past decade."

So now Fishgirl, why not lead the charge into the playoffs and come up with a unique, "Sacramento Fans" support noise idea to make us even more memorable?

I agree with fishgirl. Kings fans are the best!! And I'm glad and proud to be one. But I don't think I'm half the fan most people in this online community are though.

I went to the Kings-Clippers game in Staples on April 7th, and then headed up to Sac for the Kings-Rockets game in Arco on April 9th. Honestly, there was more noise in the first quarter of the Rockets game than there was the entire game at Staples.

Thanks, 6th! I hope you're feeling better, too.

Yeah with Kings fans, there's always a buzz. Nothing like it around the league.

Go Kings!
