Any questions?
Is it like where you've got to win multiple championships before you can say you have a Big Three™?We can't call em that.
I have always been under the impression it was specific to that era team. Like a Dream Team or Redeem Team, it's a trademark of that single entity. If other teams have used it I was unaware. Is it like where you've got to win multiple championships before you can say you have a Big Three™?
For better or worse, language evolves. Just like there used to be a time where every public scandal/controversy was not a [insert controversy here]-gate. Are they calling themselves that? Didn't the original Bench Mob coin the name for themselves? Why not let this crew forge their own rather than forcing the old on them? For better or worse, language evolves. In pro wrasslin' terms, they Young Bucks'd the term Big Three.
I am generally in favor of nicknames being unique. I am not generally in favor of entities giving themselves nicknames (a somewhat contradictory opinion within the framework of a mostly anonymous internet message board, but it is what it is).Are they calling themselves that? I guess that's all I'm asking here.
am I? There were some obvious parallels to Adelman's first year early in the season but I think this team is worthy of being it's own thing. It's less about preserving the old than wanting this team to be the new. I really think Brown could be building something that rivals if not eclipses the golden era, so I just hate to see it recycled instead of forging something new.I am generally in favor of nicknames being unique. I also think you might be being slightly gatekeeper-y about this, mileage may vary.

That is what I remember.IIRC it was Jon Barry that came up with the “bench mob” monicker. At least that’s how I remember it.
Am I misremembering? Just curious.

What the Kings are lacking is a Mateen on the bench. The guy that never plays but waves that towel like his life depends on it.
I'm with you on this one. For instance, if University of Michigan basketball were to sign a really good freshman class and some fans started calling them "The Fab Five" I think that wouldn't go over well.
D-Generation NextAfter Lyles going ballistic on Lopez we have to come up with something pugilistic or WWF for this group. Any ideas?
