Let's talk strategy. Realistic strategy. Assuming we even can amidst the arena debacle (and I think you need to, the team'll be playing somewhere).
It's never too early to have a plan. So what is ours? Assuming Petrie wasn't planning on making a run with this team, what are our options?
In my opinion, we need a to get a superstar. We need to draft one or trade for one. I think we have the pieces to trade for one (or a high pick) and still have a few good players left over.
I am not in favor of trading Bibby, simply because he's one of the best clutch shooters in the game, and that's what you need to win it all. Peja needs to go and I think he's good bait.
So who could or should we get if we traded Peja, Miller, SAR and/or KT? If we got a legit superstar for that, then we could sign the necessary free agents in the offseason to fill in the rest. Sounds like a decent way to go and maybe even possible.
