The Apprentice

I'll be the first to admit that I am openly an Apprentice junky. I haven't missed an episode thus far of either season and am driving my household nuts knowing the next season is about to start.

Third season premiers this Thursday. Does anyone watch it?
IMO, this is the most interesting season. Book Smart vs Street Smart. Can't wait to see who wins.

I haven't missed a show either! But the Apprentice is kind of getting old. I probably watch the first episode and see how i like it then.

Yep, I'm a fan of that show. It's one of the few reality competitions I actually find interesting. That, and American Chopper, and Motorcycle Buildoff and the Food Network stuff. But I just can't understand why people like the Bachelor or the Bachelorette, or Who Wants to Marry a Crippled Midget Who is your Average Joe Daddy...and such.

Agreed. I actually feel like I came out with something after watching The Apprentice. Not too sure if I could say that about "The Biggest Loser"

The team division gives this season a nice little twist.

I'll bet the two bowtie guys feel like a socialite who showed up at the cocktail party with the same dress as the hostess.
More screen time for Audrey, please.

I've watched the past 2 seasons but I missed Thursday because I was at the Kings game. I just checked and it's being replayed on CNBC on Tuesday at 5 & 8 Sac time.

I'm taking John from Net Worth as my early pick to win it all.
That's a good pick. I saw a repeat last night on CNBC. John did very well as a leader. But it's still early and anything's still possible. ;)

Okay, I knew there had to be a thread about 'The Apprentice' somewhere in this Lounge and sure enough, I dug one up from the search.

So, who do you think will win?? After last night's show, I think Kendra has it in the bag. She aced her project with few mistakes and is overall just a better fit. Although Tana is a great businesswoman, she just lacks the right personality and business sense for the NY corporate scene. Kendra is a much better fit in that area, although she is young and has a lot to learn.

And why are they wasting time on another episode next week? What more is there to cover? The last project is all complete. I hope they're not going to spend the next episode just arguing, whining, and rehashing the whole season for two hours.

I liked how The Donald brought back THE DIFFICULT ONE'S ... especially for Tana ( .... gotta admit, she did a good job despite her team).

But, Kendra definitely PROVED HERSELF !!!

Wouldn't surprise me if The Donald hired 'em both

two words: advertising revenue.

My money is on Kendra.:D

I agree. Although I love Tana being from Iowa and all, Kendra's got it down. The one thing I never liked about Tana was that she never had any faith in her teammates. When Craig pitched the idea for the box, Tana shot him down and was constantly saying how the other team was going to win. Not only that, but she went to bed early on her next task when they were designing a car.

If you think about it, Kendra's already in a win-win situation. Even if she doesn't get hired (which she will unless she says something really stupid) she's already been offered jobs from both Pontiac and what ever company asked to hire her last episode. Not only that, but you know lots of business people watch the show and will call her if Trump doesn’t say the magical words "your hired"

The Apprentice on The Jim Rome Show: 05-18-05

Which individual from The Apprentice is Jim Rome talking about using the "Do you know who I am - card" while being drunk on an airplane ???

Nevermind ....

Van Smack is talking about him RIGHT NOW - 10:42am

It's Kelly ... the winner of The Apprentice 2 - last year

I'll Re-cap the Best I Can ...

Rome didn't say in "what capacity" Kelly was flying ... business or pleasure.

Anyhow, Kelly was drinkin' JD and gettin' a little buzzed.

After a few drinks (the actual number wasn't mentioned), Kelly asked for another drink and the stewardess refused to serve him. This got Kelly a little "hot under the collar" .... he was insistent on having another drink .... the stewardess still refused .... I believe it was at this point Kelly said "Do you know who I am?" ... the stewardess replied "No" ...

This is where Rome starts interjecting some of his own SMACK ... so, the actual events are cloudy from this point on ...

At some point, Kelly got up out of his seat and started going thru drawers in search of some more JD.

You know how Rome can get going ... it was hilarious !!!

Tana didn't have a chance .... just goes to show ya ... treat people like $hit, eventually comes back.

Sorry, Tana ... you made a great run at it ... and you've got a great life ... from one STREET SMART to another, Hang In There !!!

Congratulations Kendra ..... enjoy working on the GIGANTIC MANSION in Florida.

Tana pissed me off last night. When she wanted "credit" for coming up with the idea for the shape for the Pontiac brochure. Kendra did most work, while he other two were just messing around.

Kendra deserved to win. I liked her answer to crying.

Yeah, I thought that was "a desperate attempt to get back in good graces".

Wasn't going to work ... and it didn't. Maybe she too, wanted a new car from Pontiac.

But, what did she have to lose .... I think she already knew she was not going to GET HIRED ...

I also like Kendra's answer to it too. I don't think crying shows that you're weak...

Trump made it kind of known that he favored Kendra more because whenever he talked with Tana, he would always say something not good (like "you're team didn't like you"). I thought he should have acted as if he like both so that way there will be more drama and we won't know which he'll choose until he does? :D Oh well.

Congrats to Kendra!

I thought the finally was kind of a let down after the 3 hour one from last year. I wanted to see the old cast members. Although I was glad they didn't ask everyone in the audience who they would hire.

I thought that this finally was really weak this year. There was no drama in it AT ALL. He just said "because of that, kendra you are hired" as quickly as possible. BORING.
